STUDENT STAPLED $50 NOTE AND GAVE TO PROFESSOR TO TEST IF HE’S CORRUPTED

0

I hope I don’t kenna blacklisted by my prof because tried to test whether he is corrupted. I stapled a $50 note to my lecture notes before meeting him and i flipped to that particular page during the consultation and pretend to ask him a question “eh prof can you teach me this formula…blah blah blah…”. I’m amazed that he also pretend to not notice that $50 note, he even flip up the $50 note and reveal the formula underneath and started teaching me.

This time gg liao

I want to email him and apologize…but what should i say??? “prof ..actually im doing a social experiment for my mod….etc.”? FML!!

Here are what netizens think:

  • The premise of the experiment is flawed and tests nothing. Will a prof risk his career for $50? Heck, $500 might not even be enough.Your chances of success also depends on your gender and the faculty the prof is from.
  • Professor earn how much lol he use $50 note as a bookmark so he thought you were doing the same.
  • This is a joke right. $50 for his career??? He would think that the $50 is a tab for annexure si boh.. and yes you should apologise for the insult.
  • U staple the note he probably just thinks “this student has a weird way of motivating himself”  hello wanna bribe also must make the note easy to take right? He’s probably clueless

MAN CAUGHT BY WIFE’S FRIEND AT AIRPORT KISSING ANOTHER WOMAN

0

I saw my friend’s husband holding another woman’s hand and kissing her at the airport departure hall.

I’m not sure what’s the best way to handle this piece of information as I don’t want to get involved in people’s marriages but I can’t seem to get this out of my head knowing that the poor wife is home alone while the husband is out happily travelling with his mistress.

I dislike cheaters and homewreckers, so if you know of any of your friend’s husbands travelling out of Singapore on late 24 April or the wee morning of 25 April with a name starting with the letter R, please forward this piece of information to his wife. I hope she will no longer be kept in the dark.

Here are what netizens think:

The odds of someone having the same. Initials and travelling is pretty high. Sibeh sabo…..

Don’t bother. Don’t even talk about it because it’s not your problem to begin with.

TAXI UNCLE ARGUES WITH DRUNK MAN AT TAXI STAND, TAUNTING TO FIGHT

A video has been circulating online of a fight between a man who appears to be drunk or high and a Taxi driver.

Both men started shouting at the top of the voices and vulgarities can be heard.

The man in red drops his bag on the ground and continues to taunt the taxi driver to a fight.

Here are what netizens think:

  • Rule number 1. Never quarrel with someone regardless man or woman who is drunk or high.
  • Just video the drunk high in case as evidence and report to police if necessary

GIRL GETS REJECTED AND UNWANTED ALL HER LIFE FEELS LONELY

0

I am tired of being the second option all the time. I am never anyone’s priority. It makes me feel so lonely. I am not in a relationship and I get the feeling that my friends don’t consider me important too.

I shifted to campus accommodation recently and it feels so bad to do everything alone all the time. I meet and chat with my neighbours when we meet in the kitchen and corridors but that is all the interaction we have.

I have classmates staying in the same hostel and I asked them to call me when they go out or have dinner together. They said ‘yes of course’ while texting but never called me. As I scrolled through my Instagram feed, I saw photos of the group hanging out together, clubbing, going for outings, going to the beach, and tears welled up in my eyes. It is not just their clique that went out. They called friends from outside their clique, but apparently I did not deserve to be called. Sometimes I wonder whether I should uninstall these social media accounts but it sounds like an escapist solution.

I belong to a clique too but it is not so strong. My best friends like to go out with their boyfriends and those who are single, prefer spending time with their other friends. I doubt they even consider me as their best friend. Usually, no one wants to join if I suggest going out, participating in competitions, etc. What’s worse than hearing ‘no’ as a reply is not even getting a reply at all, as if I am not even worth a few minutes of their time.

Recently, I watched a movie alone. I felt sad as I saw others holding hands with their romantic partners or sitting and enjoying the show with a group of friends. I tried to enjoy alone, but I couldn’t stop crying. Thankfully, it was dark and I went to the top where there was an empty row of seats and cried as much as I wanted. I had taken a ticket for my friend earlier in the morning and I tore it into pieces.

I sat over there wondering what was wrong with me. Why am I rejected all the time? It must be me because I receive the same kind of behaviour from different sets of friends, so it is not their fault. I like spending time alone once in a while, but too much of it becomes painful. I really can’t take it sometimes.

Sometimes when my friends decline going out with me, they tell me to go out with my family. I nod and end the conversation right there. Truth is, due to health reasons, my parents avoid going to crowded places. They can’t stand for too long in the MRT, can’t walk continuously for a long time, can’t stand in long queues, need to eat at regular timings and need a lot of rest. Anyway, they don’t like to go out. Being the only child, I have no one else in my family I can go out with. I don’t want to give these explanations so I just say ‘yes’ when people suggest I go out with my family.

My parents feel sorry for me and say that I am young and should not be confined to the four walls of the house. They encourage me to go out with my friends. I can’t bring myself to tell them that my friends don’t love me as much as you do. I am an option for them, not a priority. I get rejected and declined for most of the things I say.

So during this long weekend, when everyone is out with their family and friends, I am sitting at home, writing code and fixing bugs for the project I did for my internship.

MAN AND TWO NEPHEWS BEING STALKED BY MIDDLE-AGED MAN

0

Stalked by a middle aged man at 8pm. So a little bit of context here. Me (30M), and my 2 nephews (16 and 11) just had lunch at 1pm and we were heading back to our condo.

There we were crossing past the car park entrance, and as most place in singapore there is a zebra crossing there.

This car was coming out of the car park and did not stop at all for the 3 of us while we were in the midst of crossing.

I then proceeded to ask the driver “do u not see the zebra crossing and I’m with kids”. He then shouts and says “ do you not see the car? You all can —- off la cb” and all the other languages and drives off.

Later that same day we decided to head out for dinner at 7.30pm. It was when I realised someone was following the three of us. I tested it out by pretending to stop to check my phone and he stopped as well. My nephews noticed it too.

We stopped 4 times and all 4 times he stopped. Whenever I made eye contact he would pretend to look at his phone. Of course my gut feeling tells me something is off so I call the cops.

The cops tell me to walk into the mrt station towards the main ticket counter and wait there. This was so that if he follows, the camera would catch him. And to my surprise he actually did follow us and lingered around the area. I must say, sg cops are quick to arrive at the scene. They arrived in less than 7 mins.

The cops came to us and we told him who that is. So the cops then proceeded to talk to him separately and got his identification. After talking to him, he walked off towards my direction, made some eye contact and left. The cops then proceeded to us and spoke to us.

Cops told us he denied it and was mad that I called the cops on him. They also told me he stays in the same condo as me. I knew it was the same guy that cursed at me earlier that day at the condo driveway. That’s when I got really scared. So the cops told me if he ever gets caught stalking or etc he will be in trouble and for us to to stay safe for now.

I can understand, cops won’t arrest without evidence. What should I do? I’m scared shitless here. Never been stalked before and that he lived at the same condo 🙁 should I have not confronted him for the zebra crossing issue?

HUSBAND LEAVES PREGNANT WIFE AT NIGHT & STOPS GIVING HER ‘SPECIAL’

Husband’s behavior has changed after marriage

My husband and I have been together for 6 years before we got married. Everything was good and he was nice to me and appreciative. However, things started to change after we got married.

During my first trimester I requested to go out for supper at 10pm but he asked me to eat whatever is at home instead. But all the time, he would stay out late with his friends at the void deck but not bring me out for food. He would ask me to grab myself (1 pax portion at $10 which I felt was not worth it).

Our S activity also went down as we transitioned into marriage. After we got married, he told me that he has a low s** drive. This never crossed my mind before, but I eventually believed him. However, recently I found out that he has been actively watching P. I feel so upset, unhappy and betrayed. I offered for intimacy, he rejected, and instead prefers to watch other girls on a website? Why?

Now that I am pregnant and have given birth, I wonder if this was why he turned to P?

I don’t know if I should confront him about it. Every time we discuss something serious he will just laugh and put the matter behind. I’m not sure if it’s nice to question him on it as well.

Here are what netizens think:

  • You can also tell him love language like “I loved you, I appreciated you etc” be confident dear, you are his wife. The one who had been through thick and thin with them, the one who gave him a lovely child.
  • I think it’s important to talk to him seriously about this as it can snowball to a more serious issue.Work something out whether is it taking time to spend alone time together to build up your romance again.

AIRBNB – EMPLOYEES CAN WORK FROM HOME FOREVER, PAY TO REMAIN SAME

Airbnb said on 28 April that their workers will be able to work from anywhere (their home, office or while traveling) permanently.

CEO of Airbnb, Brian Chesky, said in an email to staff that those who work in lower cost-of-living areas will not see their compensation change.

He also said in the email that the company would host regular in-person meet ups and retreats, as part of a broader shift at the company to accommodate remote work.

Chesky said that the world is becoming more flexible about where people can work, and that they see this in their own businesses.

He added that the company wouldn’t have recovered so quickly from the pandemic had it not been for the millions of people who worked from Airbnbs.

More than 150 updates have been added by Airbnb to include verified Wi-Fi connections in support of remote work trands.

The company is also working with the governments and travel destinations to ramp up support for those who are living abroad for a longer period while working.

TIP-OFF: RETURN OF THE KTV, MAMA-SANS SPAMMING WECHAT MESSAGES

A netizen sent in an email stating that the KTV businesses are back in various locations in Singapore.

He revealed various locations in Singapore and state that the tips are $300 and up.

He claims that he has wrote to the Police.

Here is the email:

With the loosening of Covid rules in Singapore, a huge surge in seedy KTV businesses follows.

Many KTVs have reopened at the usual suspect areas, e.g. Bugis Cube, Peace Centre, Jalan Besar, Golden Landmark Shopping Centre. Many of the mummies/female managers have been openly spamming on their Wechat to attract customers to their KTVs, with offer of many pretty Chinese and Vietnamese hostesses. Tips range from $300 upwards for few hours of companionship. All these despite hostessing being illegal.

It appears that there are no checks at all in these places, when my supplier brought me to do the rounds. I pray that Covid doesn’t come roaring back. And I hope that our laws will be enforced properly else it will be a laughing stock.

OLD MAN CHASES AWAY PASSENGER SO HE CAN PUT HIS LEG ON THE BUS SEATS

An old man was spotted shooing away other passengers who wants to seat down and places his legs of the adjacent seat so that no one would sit with him.

This behaviour has been frowned upon by many netizens and with saying that “Don’t think you old you can do whatever you want”.

Here are what netizens think:

  • I believe it is unacceptable everywhere in the world, not Singapore only!
  • This old man really idoilts .. how can so uncivilized.. go back seat ur own chair and travel ur own dnt use public transport. He must be Xiao one . No eat medicine
  • Uncle wanna that chiobu to sit next to him lah thats why he signalled with hands/legs to those guys not to sit … but sadly she rather stand …
