UNLICENSED KTV JOINTS NEAR JALAN BESAR RAIDED, 8 PEOPLE ARRESTED

Six men and one woman were arrested for offences under the Liquor COntrol Act and Employment of Foreign Manpower Act.

Another man was also arrested for an outstanding warrant of arrest.

The arrestees were aged between 23 and 38.

The Singapore police said that they raided three shophouse units in Ketchener Road and Verdun Road on 2 April, Good Friday, at night and the early house of Saturday.

The shophouses allegedly housed karaoke lounges that were operating without a license.

34 men and 11 women between the ages of 24 and 66 will also be investigated for their suspected flouting of rule and regulation under the Public Enterntainment Act and Liquor Control Act.

They will also be investigated for flouting the Covid-19 rules of no more than 8 people in a group.

The offences of providing public entertainment or supplying liquor without a valid licence each carries a fine of up to $20,000.

Those convicted of employing a foreigner without a valid work pass can be fined between $5,000 and $30,000, jailed for up to 12 months, or both. Foreigners who are employed without a valid work pass can be jailed up to two years, fined up to $20,000, or both.

For flouting Covid-19 safe distancing measures, offenders may be jailed for up to six months, fined up to $10,000, or both.

INDIAN GUY NOT HAPPY BECAUSE XMM EAT PRATA WITH SUGAR

A TikTok user shared how “prata should be eaten this way”, which triggered an Indian guy named Jaarvis.

The girl dipped her prata onto a plate of sugar before then dipping it again into curry before eating it.

The Indian guy then completely lost his mind and went on a tirade, scolding her in Tamil and asking her “who the f*ck teach you how to eat prata like this?”

YP FAILED PARKOUR ATTEMPT MAKES HIM SMASH FACE ON THE GROUND

A video was recently uploaded on the Facebook page Singapore Eye which shows a young punk crashing onto the ground face first.

The YP got injured due to a failed parkour attempt and he could be heard groaning in pain after smashing his face onto the hard ground.

SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHER ALLEGEDLY SECRETLY FILMED SCHOOLGIRLS’ THIGHS

A video emerged online alleging that a teacher from a local secondary school, allegedly taking close up videos of the thighs and legs of two secondary school girls that he was talking to.

The girls were sitting in a vulnerable position, as the camera filmed them in uncompromising, close up positions.

It is unclear if the person who took the video is indeed a teacher, or whether the video was recorded accidentally.

At the time of writing, these are merely hearsay and online speculation.

EAST COAST PARK FLOODED, PARK-GOERS SUBMERGED IN SHIN-DEEP RAINWATER

A video of a flooded East Coast Park made its rounds on social media, showing park-goers who were affected.

Due to recurring heavy downpours and thunderstorms yesterday, several areas experienced floodings.

The East Coast Park-goers could be seen with their feet fully submerged inside the shin-deep rainwater, with leaves floating on the surface, as many of them sought shelter from the unrelenting rain.

Some areas of the park also became submerged and the ground couldn’t even be seen.

S’POREANS CONNED INTO INVESTING IN RETIREMENT SCAM IN THAILAND. WOMAN ARRESTED

A Thai woman who conned Japanese and Singaporean retirees to invest in a retirement scam has been arrested in Lat Krabang, Bangkok. 

Along with her Japanese husband who helped to convince the victims, Warinthorn, 44, promised 10% returns on investment in providing loans to retirees to satisfy the 800,000 baht visa extension process.  

She ran a company called Locomotion Tour plus a visa extension agency in Chiang Mai. She was arrested at Yuklarat Condominium in Thap Yao, Lat Krabang in the Thai capital on a warrant and taken back to the Chang Pheuak police in the north. Losses in the fraud are 30 million baht.  

Thai Tourist Police Bureau held a press conference at Suvarnabhumi Airport yesterday.  No mention was made of the Japanese husband in the case. 

GUY LIKES GIRL WHO IS ATTACHED, STALKS HER HOME TO MAKE SURE SHE IS “SAFE”

A guy took to social media to share how he developed feelings to his co-worker, who has a boyfriend.

They started talking more due to a project that they were doing together and he really liked her, buying her snacks and bubble tea every day.

He revealed that he stalked her to her void deck without her knowledge, just so he could make sure that she “got home safe”.

He also shared that he made it obvious that he liked her until all their colleagues started to talk about them, and he was happy with the “rumours”.

But one day, the girl told him to distance himself from her and once the project ended, he never went to her department anymore.

He also discovered that he was blocked by her on social media.

He says that he is very lost and asks if he should approach her to know what happened, and that he wants to be given a chance.

MOTHER & PILLION DAUGHTER GETS SMASHED BY CAR AT ZEBRA CROSSING AT PUNGGOL

A video was recently uploaded on the Facebook page ROADS.sg which shows a mother and pillion daughter getting banged by a car at a zebra crossing.

Here is the full story.

Presumbly mother and child, both were on bicycle getting knocked down at the crossing.

Mother should have slowed down or stop before entering the crossing. Small girl also put her hand in the air during the crossing. Thank goodness, there were no serious injuries. Wishing both of them well.

Drivers must always look around or even glance left and right to ensure cyclist do not just appear out of nowhere.

Offences committed by motorists at a pedestrian crossing carries a fine of $200 with 6 demerit points.

This happened on 31/3/21 at 1345 hours at Punggol just beside Waterway Point.

DELIVERY RIDER TAPES UP NUMBER PLATE TO RIDE ILLEGALLY SO WONT GET CAUGHT

XMM TAKE PICTURE OF HERSELF VAPING BECAUSE SHE WANTS TO BE THE POKEMON, KOFFING

A photo has been circulating on social media showing a xmm vaping at what appears to be a void deck.

She could be seen with a vape in her mouth as smoke escape through her nostrils.

It isn’t clear who the girl is or how she managed to get her hands on the vape, which is illegal in Singapore.

Under section 16(2A) of the Tobacco (Control of Advertisements and Sale) Act (TCASA), it is illegal to possess, purchase and use vaporisers in Singapore as of 1 February 2018.

Persons found guilty of this offence can be fined up to $2,000.
