MAN CREATES MULTIPLE FAKE REVIEWS AFTER ARGUING WITH PC REPAIR SHOP

Google Reviews are often used to judge the quality of a business service or food. But sometimes angry Karens used it to get what they want.

A male Karen recently got into an argument with Computer parts retailers as he demanded the price of a laptop adapter to be lower.

He states that he has seen the adapter sold at a lower price overseas and demanded the local retailer to sell it at a cheaper price or he will make many fake Google reviews on this business.

Here is what the business owner said:

Beware of brainless scammers who threaten to call to purchase the computer items for a cheaper Price.

See the screenshot timeline evidence.

I came across this brainless customer call asking for a new power adapter’s price. He said he can get it online order at a cheaper price but he can’t wait that long for the order to arrive, he needs it urgently.

So I told him I’m doing computer repair services only. Not selling computer items. I gave him an alternative option and advice where to get a new power adapter by himself will be much cheaper.

If he wanted me to purchase the items for him, I need to markup the price to order the items for him with service and transport costs.

He started to threaten me to give him the price he wanted and he will give me a good 5-star review otherwise he will put many fake negative reviews on my business websites. I told him sorry, I can’t give him the price he wanted. I speak to him politely that I’m earning a living doing computer repair services not selling any computer items if he does not agree to my price for the items he can buy from the computer store that sells power adapters.

After the end of the call, he started putting many fake negative reviews to threaten me on my business websites. You can see the timeline evidence, he is the one who created the problem first posting many fake reviews comments to threaten and destroy my business on my business websites. My first time encountering this kind of brainless person with no respect.

Beware of this kind of brainless people for nothing creates trouble.I can’t understand these kinds of people can’t move forward in their life to create many fake accounts to insult people we fake reviews.

GUY BROKE HIS HAND ON PURPOSE TO CHAO GENG FROM WORK & STILL GET PAID

0

I broke my hand on purpose to avoid going to work but still get paid.

I worked as an agent in a call center. I hated that job. It was overwhelming, everyone would just call and complain.

It was a Sunday night. And after a soothing weekend. I did not want to go to back go work. The only way to avoid going to work and still get paid is to provide a sick-leave attested from the hospital.

I already had a tough week and I was going through a lot. I was mentally Exhausted! As time was passing rapidly, I desperately wanted to skip work on Monday.

I was so desperate that I was was trying to get myself sick However, getting sick only lands you a 1 approved day sick leave.

Then that’s when I got the IDEA to break my hand. I got a spray to kill bugs and a perfume and sprayed the PIFPAF on my hand so I couldn’t feel anything and took the perfume bottle and jacked my hand with it for 5 times constantly.

At first, I did not feel a thing, because the bug spray caused my hand to be numb, then I tried moving my hand but I couldn’t move my hand and it started to pain and my hand started to swell. Like really really bad.

I drove to the hospital and was xrayed. Nothing was broken, just dislocated. I ended up getting a 15 days paid sick leave. I missed 2 weeks of work !

Was it worth it? Yes. Would I do it again. Definitely. Recommend. No. Stay safe kids!

SUSPECTED GUNMAN IN NY SUBWAY SHOOTING CAUGHT, FACES TERRORISM CHARGE

0

The suspected gunman of the shooting in a New York subway car that saw 23 people injured, has been caught by the police.

The suspect, 62-year-old Frank Robert James, was taken into custody about 13km from the crime scene, in lower Manhattan.

He was arrested 30 hours after the attack that took place in the N train heading towards Manhattan in the Sunset Park community in Brooklyn.

Authorities had determined his location through tipoffs from the public and residents, with some witnesses posting sightings of him online.

Mayor Eric Adams spoke to the media following the arrest of James, saying: “My fellow New Yorkers, we got him.”

James has since been charged with a single count of committing a “terrorist or other violent attack” against a mass transportation system, by the federal prosecutors in a Brooklyn District Court.

Upon conviction, he faces life in prison.

The NYPD said that they had initially linked James to the shooting after they found keys to a rented U-Haul van left behind at the crime scene.

A wanted poster of James was also released to the public by the New York Police Department following the shooting, with a cash reward of up to $50,000.

BEWARE OF FAKE NEWS OF PLANE CRASH CIRCULATING ON WHATSAPP

0

A bogus Whatsapp message has been circulating around stating that a plane has crashed into a road located along Jalan Kayu.

Please note that the Whatsapp message is false and the incident did not happen in Singapore. The message started circulating a few days ago and was later posted on Facebook by a few media groups.

We Googled and found out that the actual incident happened in the USA.

Facts

The incident happened in the USA, Florida back in March 2021. The actual incident happened in Miami about 32km from downtown.

The video originated from a residence doorbell that was equipped with a camera that captured the whole incident.

Two unidentified people who were on the plane died in the crash, NBC Miami reported.

S’POREAN CLAIMS HE WAS THREATENED TO PAY A BRIBE TO KL POLICE OR FACE ARREST

According to a video posted by Beh Chia Lor, a man was stopped by the Malaysian Police when he was driving in Kuala Lumpur.

The Police told the man that he had driven in the opposite direction of the traffic and said that he does not possess a Malaysian driving license.

Fact: Most of the ASEAN nations such as Malaysia have signed an agreement stating that they would recognize the Singapore driving licences

Threaten to arrest

The man was then threatened by the Police to get arrested, claiming that “problems” could be avoided if he were to give them some “kopi money”

To avoid detection the police told the man to “throw” the money into the window of the vehicle so that the Police taking the bribery could not be detected.

Here is an image of the man throwing cash into the vehicle.

Here is what the man said:

“Polis in KL. I’m Singaporean. Went there and they claimed I did not possessed Malaysia driving license, no visa to enter KL, claimed I drove into opposite direction which i did not and claimed issued IC is printed out as I kept passport in hotel.

Told me to avoid being arrested and fine I can “treat” them to which they meant money. Video you could see they told me to throw the money into the car and ensure no one is watching. My hand should not be in the car. Hence I quickly pulled my hand away. Happened on 10 April 2022 at 1230pm.”

HYBRID WFH BECOMES KANA TAKE ADVANTAGE TO WORK AFTER OFFICE HOURS

0

A netizen recently pointed out that getting a hybrid job might not be the best as the company can take advantage of the employee by telling them to work from home even after office hours.

Here is the story:

I’ll keep it short. I just quit on my third day at this new job.

When I applied they told me they had a “hybrid” work environment where I’d be able to work remotely as well as from the office.

I guess I was still in orientation but an hour ago I was transferred from an HR person to the guy who would have been my manager. I asked about setting up the hybrid schedule (I was thinking WFH remote) and he told me “it’s hybrid as in you can work from home after five” I was floored. The working hours are 8-5. I just laughed and said, “I’m out”.

How can they treat people like this. Even if they are complete sociopaths, it’s gotta be bad business to waste so much time.

A netizen with similar experiences

My boss tell me “You save the 1 hour commute time, can work abit more from home”.

I told him “Hi boss, are you paying me 1 hour extra a day” He then diam diam but keep pressuring us to do work after 6pm.

Responses

  • Many companies understand there’s often a huge barrier to getting hired and it grinds people down over time. Once they have a ‘foot in the door’ so to speak and you’re already working there, it can seem like a huge loss to just walk away and start the search over again.
  • It may just be a bad manager who didn’t care that the company officially offers WFH. One of the rare cases I would’ve talked to HR, especially if they cared to ask for an exit review.
  • The recruitment team has quotas to make and often gets commision for bringing people in, theyll use whatever they can as a selling point. Then the manager thinks they look better to their boss if their whole team is in the office, so regardless of the company policy on remote work they tell people they need to be there. Thats the problem.

WIFE TOLD HUSBAND THAT SHE LIKES WOMEN, & HE PRETENDS IT NEVER HAPPENED

0

My wife came out to me two years ago and I’ve just been pretending it never happened

My wife and I have been together for 13 years now. We have three kids, and our marriage has been mostly good. I am still so in love with my wife, and I’ve been very happy in our marriage and with the family we’ve created.

A couple of years ago, my wife told me she’s been confused but now realizes that she’s far more romantically interested in women than men.

This revelation didn’t come out of nowhere, and I’ve been accepting and supportive of my wife’s evolving identity. I’m proud of her, even, for having the courage to redefine herself at this point in her life.

But I’m also deeply devastated by it all. I thought I had the life that I wanted, but now I have doubts about the entirety of our marriage. Was she ever really in love with me? Did she ever really enjoy sleeping with me? And what does the fact that she settled for me say about me and my masculinity? It’s hard for me to conceptualize any of this as something other than the result of my inadequacies as a partner.

My wife redefining herself means that I have to redefine myself, too, and I just don’t feel capable of doing that. I don’t want to separate from her — I can’t even bring myself to sleep in a separate bed.

I still love this woman with all of my heart, and I don’t know how to just turn off my feelings for her and transition our relationship to something platonic. I can’t bear the thought of starting over or of being alone. I cherished my marriage and the stability that it brought to my life, and I’m so terrified of moving forward that I’ve just been avoiding taking any action to change my situation any further. I know my inaction is frustrating her, but I feel incapable of doing anything about it.

BRAVE WOMAN WITH LUNG CANCER, CONTINUES TO DO VOLUNTEER WORK

Assisi Hospice shared a story about one of their volunteers, 47-year-old Kimberly Faith Ng, who was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2019.

However, despite her illness, which doctors have said was at the end stage, she continues to do volunteer work while wearing a back brace to support her spine.

Here is what they said

What would you do if you know that the time you have is limited? For 47-year-old Kimberly Faith Ng, she chose to gift her time by volunteering. She was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2019. After battling it for two years, her doctor shared that her cancer was at the end-stage.

Despite requiring a back brace to support her spine, she felt that this was a good time for her to volunteer when she heard about Lent at Assisi through her church friends. She said, “Physically I feel well enough, now that I am not doing chemotherapy anymore. I don’t know how much time I have left, and I want to help others when I still can.”

During her afternoon at Assisi, she took orders and served kuehs to our patients. She said, “It may be something small, but I feel happy to be able to spread the joy to the patient and make the patient feel loved. As the volunteer management staff pointed out, every little task we do, we give our best, as it could possibly be the last meal for the patient.”

We would like to say a big thank you to all who offered their helping hand and spent time caring for the more vulnerable among us this Lent at Assisi! Your gesture of taking ice cream and kueh orders, and serving patients with love, really brightened up their day. SELF-ENTITLED PARENT DROVE SON TO SCHOOL, WANTS TEACHER TO OPEN DOOR FOR HIM

0

A few netizens shared some of the horror stories that they faced as teachers when dealing with unruly and self-entitled parents.

The self-entitled one

My friend is a teacher at an atas kindergarten. Because of covid she now stands outside to take the kids temperature before going in.

There’s this woman that drops off her son in a bmw. But won’t come out and open the car door for him. Neither will she let him open it himself.

Because she wants my friend – the teacher, to do it. My friend refused to, and the woman legit sat in her car for 10 minutes until she couldn’t take it anymore. She came out and scolded my friend and complained to the kindergarten. They told her the teachers are not chauffeurs lol

The no-boundaries one

Was a contract teacher in 2012 in a primary school. I’m so glad I did not go into NIE. Anyway it’s a good thing I didn’t because I couldn’t see myself being a teacher.

One parent called my personal number at night asking whether her son needed to bring the textbook the next day. She didn’t want him to carry a heavy bag. I asked how she got hold of my personal number and please don’t call me at night except for emergencies. She proceeded to tell me as a teacher it’s my job to care for the students and especially so for her son because he’s mildly autistic. He deserves more attention than the other students.

This parent was also one annoying one that requests the school hold monthly meetings with the teachers who taught her son for updates on his progress.

The on-the-dot one

I’m working at a Student Care centre in primary schools now. Some self-entitled parents expect their kid to be punctual on the dot (dismissal 3:30pm means to their hands at 3:30pm)

Some text at 3:27pm where the centre phone will be boomed with messages. So they expect their child to fly down within 3 minutes to the gate.

What they don’t know is, when they send the msg, we forward the msg to the class teacher, then the class teacher will send them down.

Sometimes, the class teacher is preoccupied with something, imagine taking a class. If they wan their child to come on the dot, then message early lah pls.

Some parents also cannot wait, 3minutes pass the dismissal timing shouting at us, “why i message already still not OUT YET!!!!!!!”

Omg parents can come late but expect us to get the kid ready on time
