W.H.O LOOKING INTO TWO NEW OMICRON SUB-VARIANTS

0

The World Health Organization (WHO) said yesterday that they are looking into a few dozen cases of the BA.4 and BA.5 sub-variants of the highly infectious Omicron strain.

They are tracking the infections to see if they are more dangerous or infectious, and they have been added to the list of sub-variants for monitoring, which already includes BA.1, BA.2, BA.3, and BA.1.1.

WHO explained that they are tracking the sub-variants due to their additional mutations, in order to understand their impact on immune escape potential.

It is normal for viruses to mutate but only some mutations affect the virus’ capability to spread or escape immunity from vaccinations and/or infections.

Take BA.2 for example, it makes up about 94% of all sequenced cases and is more infectious than its sibling variants, but it is not more likely to cause serious illnesses.

As per WHO, so far, there have only been a few dozen cases of the BA.4 and BA.5 sub-variants being reported to the GISAID database.

BA.4 was found in South Africa, Denmark, Scotland, England, and Botswana between 10 January to 30 March.

While BA.5 was found in South Africa, 4 others were found in Botswana.

He was seen acting suspiciously and checking to see if there were anybody around at the time.

UNCLE ASK ME WHERE TO WATCH R-A, CAUSE CHINATOWN PEARL CENTRE IS NO MORE

0

The world has changed much in the last 20 years, after stepping into the age of digitalization many older formats of films have become outdated and eventually disappeared from our lives.

A man met an elderly uncle at a coffee shop when he was drinking beer and the uncle asked where can he watch RA films as there are no more R cinemas in Singapore or illegal DVD.

Here is the story:

I was drinking with my friend at a coffee shop in Hougang and an uncle who wanted to share the table sat down.

Shortly after drinking, the uncle strikes up a conversation with me asking the usual stuff “I work what, do what, married already or not etc”. He started to ask me about my mobile phone and ask about the stuff it can do.

He seem hesitant at first and he finally broke the question, he asked if I know the last time Chinatown got the special cinema, I told him that I knew about it but I had never been to it.

He then asked me where people watch those kinds of films as there are no more illegal Pasar Malam DVD stalls, he said that the phone can do much more than just call but he does not know how to get access to those films.

He took out an old Xiao Mi phone and asked if his phone is capable or he has to change a new phone. I told him his phone can definitely do it. He then asked me how to do it. So I taught him how to surf the net.

He immediately called the beer auntie and treated us to another 3 bottles of beer, he then thank me before leaving.

Haha, we know he confirm chop stamp heading home to explore the newly found “treasure trove”

MUHD FAISHAL IBRAHIM – WORRYING THAT MORE YOUTHS ARE ARRESTED FOR DRUGS

0

Associate Professor Muhammad Faishan Ibrahim, the Minister of State at the Ministry of Home Affairs and National Development, said in a Facebook post that it is worrying that more youths are doing drugs.

He said that according to surveys that were conducted in 2018 and 2019, it showed that youths are becoming more accepting of drug use and cannabis.

He also referenced CNB’s drug situation report for 2022, which showed that 60% of new drug users that were caught in 2021 were below 30 years old.

He described these trends as being “worrying.”

Here is what he said on Facebook

[Educating Our Youths About Drug Abuse]

Surveys conducted in 2018 and 2019 have found that youths are increasingly becoming more accepting of the use of drugs and cannabis.

In CNB Drug Free SG ‘s 2022 drug situation report, 60% of new drug abusers arrested in 2021 were under 30 years old. These are worrying trends.

Young drug abusers may not be aware of the harms that drugs can bring to themselves and their families.

Hence, it is important that we be open to their concerns and teach our youths about the consequences of drug abuse.

GIRL CRIED WHEN GETTING INTIMATE – NOT USED TO BEING TREATED GENTLY

0

I’ve been dating this sweet guy for a few months and today while we were getting intimate he was looking into my eyes and I just got so emotional and overwhelmed and started crying and he was all like “are you okay? Did you remember something bad?”

And I tried to explain that everything is fine, and told him that I’m just not used to being treated so gently and carefully, and how new it is to me to have a physical relationship while also forming an emotional bond with someone.

My past is kinda complicated, and while I won’t go into detail, I will say it has affected me and I’ve been healing and working on myself for the last year.

nd when I met this guy I told him I’m not ready for a serious relationship because I still don’t feel whole as a person, but one thing led to another and now I have this amazing, supportive and understanding partner.

My approach towards love and emotions has always been cynical due to my upbringing and other reasons, and it’s difficult as fuck to truly open up to someone, and it’s scary but freeing.

So right now I’m in his bathroom while he waits for me in bed, in two days we’re going to celebrate my birthday and I think I’m starting to really love him.

I just wanted to let this off my chest.
