DRIVER HITS PARKED CAR, INSPECTS DAMAGED CAR THEN FLEES THE SCENE

A video emerged online showing an alleged hit and run accident that took place on 4 April at about 11.12am.

The incident happened at an open carpark at Simei Street 1, on 4 April.

The driver of the Toyota Vios had allegedly hit a parked Mitsubishi Lancer, before parking a distance away from the damaged vehicle.

The driver then alighted to inspect the damaged car, before walking away and fleeing the scene.

Potential penalties

It is a punishable offence to leave the scene of an accident, which is considered a hit-and-run – upon conviction, first-time offenders face a fine of up to $3,000 or a jail term of up to 12 months.

DRIVER HITS CAR, CONTINUES DRIVING FORWARD IN “HIT AND RUN” ACCIDENT

A video emerged online showing an accident between two cars at the junction of Hougang Avenue 8/7 and Upper Serangoon Road.

The camcar was seen driving on the left lane when another car was trying to filter into the camcar’s lane, and ended up being hit.

However, the driver of the camcar didn’t stop immediately and continued driving forward, presumably trying to find a safer place to stop.

But the other car had already driven away, presumably thinking that the camcar had driven off after the accident.

The incident happened on 6 April at about 5.24pm.

Here is what the camcar driver said:

“Hit and run driver.

Was going straight then the driver just turn out. After which I moved forward and the white car just disappeared.

Raining so cannot see number plate. Seeking the public for help

COCKROACH INFESTATION AT HDB BLOCK, FREE BUFFET FOR ROOSTER

A video emerged online showing a cockroach infestation at the rubbish collection area of an unspecified HDB estate.

The cockroaches could be seen crawling around on the ground, as well as on the walls of the HDB building.

However, the situation was soon put under control by an unlikely source, an unorthodox form of pest control by mother nature.

A rooster was seen arriving at the scene and eating the cockroaches, seemingly enjoying a free buffet along the way.

A little Mynah later joined the buffet and helped itself to the free sources of protein as well.

PORSCHE DRIVER CAUGHT DRINK-DRIVING, HURLS VULGARITIES @ POLICE

A video emerged online showing a Porsche driver being arrested by a group of police officers at a car park.

The man was seen being surrounded by the police officers and as he was being arrested, he was heard hurling vulgarities at them.

He was then escorted into a nearby police car.

The video was posted by ROADS.sg onto their Facebook page earlier today (11 April), as they captioned the post:

Caught drink driving and yet this driver has the audacity to scold the TP officer vulgarities and behaving with such arrogance.

Just throw the book at him and charge him with multiple offences. Singapore will rejoice with one less of such driver on our shared roads.

Drink driving is a serious offence that attracts a fine of $2000-$10,000 and or up to 1 year in jail for 1st time offender.

MAN TOLD BY GIRL “HANDSOME MAN IS FLIRTING, UGLY MAN IS HARASSMENT”

A man recently shared a story about how he was shamed at a pub for his looks and thinks the world is not fair to people with his “creative” appearance”.

Here is the story:

After the rules became more relax I went to boat quay to have a drink with my friends. A female friend of mine brought two other girls to join us and one of them caught my eye.

I tried to be as friendly as possible and started to chat with the girl I was interested in, not long after drinking she suddenly change seats to be away from me.

My female friend asked me to have a smoke with her outside and I went along, this was the conversation:

Friend: You like my friend ah?

Me: Maybe, why leh

Friend: I don’t know if she is interested but most likely no

Me: Why you know?

Friend: Ok lah, actually she got tell me you harassing her.

Me: Huh? What harass?

Friend: She said if your handsome is flirting if your ugly is harassment.

Me: huh?! SMLJ I only talking normal to her leh, I never even flirt, she so high up in her head she thinks she is a queen ah.

My female friend and the two other girls left shortly after that, I told the rest of my friends what happened and they definitely think that girl was too “dao” and think she very chio.

ANG MOH PEDESTRIAN ALLEGEDLY BLOCKED ROAD, CONFRONTS & MOCKS DRIVER

A netizen shared a video of a confrontation between her elderly father who was driving the car, and an ang moh pedestrian.

The pedestrian was allegedly walking in the middle of a road and blocking the way, and the driver then told him to move aside so that he could drive on.

But the pedestrian allegedly walked even slower and stared at them, before confronting them later at a traffic stop, using expletives at the driver.

The incident happened along Claymore Road on 8 April at about 6.20pm.

Here is what the netizen said

This man was walking in the middle of the car slope driveway turning into the driveway of the hotel lobby and my dad told him to move to one side so that he could drive by.

He purposely walked even slower and stared us down.

When we were stopped at the traffic light, he came and confront my dad saying my dad doesn’t know the road laws and that it was a pedestrian walk (it wasnt) and called my dad a d—!

He clearly preyed on my older father whom he thinks he can intimidate and harass. I had my baby on me too. So obviously he knew we were an easy target for bullying.

Such behavior should not be tolerated. Please share.

SELF-ENTITLED MAN NOT HAPPY KENA HONKED, SHOW OFF MIDDLE FINGER

A video emerged online showing a pedestrian who was less than pleased with a driver for honking at him, and decided to point his middle finger at the driver.

The incident purportedly happened on 10 April at about 5.43pm, at a traffic crossing somewhere along Selegie Road.

The man was seen crossing the road while the traffic light was still in his favour, but it then turned red, and he started walking slowly, for whatever reason.

The driver of the camcar then honked at the pedestrian to let him know that the traffic light had already turned red against him.

Unhappy at being honked at, the man then turned towards the driver and pointed a middle finger at him.

GIRL KENA SCOLDED BY CUSTOMER AT SHOP, BUT SHE DOESN’T WORK THERE

0

when I was around 19yrs old, I was at the mall with my two friends. We were in a shoe store, trying on shoes.

There was a middle aged couple in the very large store (and two employees in their uniforms who were at the cashier), but otherwise the store was empty.

I noticed the woman customer staring at me out of the corner of my eye, but I wouldn’t look.

The woman then started saying “umm hello?! I need you to come find me a pair of shoes!” louder and louder as I continued to ignore her, proceeded shopping and trying on shoes.

She was getting pretty mad. I knew she was talking to me, but I refused to look or say anything because I obviously didn’t work there and her tone was disrespectful.

I was wearing a sun dress, high heels and had my purse so I’m not sure why she thought I was an employee in the first place.

The employees were wearing matching uniforms, certainly not dresses with heels, and they were clearly standing at the front of the store at the registers.

Well i refused to look over and she started getting really nasty “hey you! I’m talking to you! What the hell do you think you are doing?! I need your help! Why is she refusing to do her job!”

Her husband told her quietly “she doesn’t work here, she’s another customer” but she wouldn’t listen she kept going on and on in a huff.

I walked over to my friends, we all laughed and left. I just couldn’t believe she was so pig-headed, she still kept going on even after she was informed she was wrong by her husband.

YP THINKS HE’S GHOSTRIDER, CRASHED INTO CYCLIST WITH CHILD AT THE BACK

A video emerged online showing a young man crashing his bicycle into another cyclist, who has a young child seated at the back.

The incident happened at the cycling track of an unspecified park.

In the video, the young cyclist could be seen riding his his body hunched forward, presumably in an attempt to pick up speed.

However, he soon lost control of his bicycle, as the bike could be seen swaying left and right, right as the bicycle approached another cyclist.

Unable to stop in time or get out of the way, the cyclist ended up crashing into the other cyclist, who had a young child at the back of the bike.

Both parties then crashed onto the ground.

PINK HAIRED GIRL ON FIRST DATE, GUY SAYS SHE WANTS PEOPLE’S ATTENTION

0

Am I exaggerating for thinking this guy was rude/creepy?

So one of my best friends introduced me (24 F) to a guy he considered really nice. My friend told me that this guy was very smart, hard-working, sentimental, romantic and that he was basically a “lovable nerd type”. Most of the guys I end up dating are like that because they are really charming and treat me with kindness and I can see why my friend thought it would work. I had only seen this guy one time and he actually asked my friend for my phone number.

Fast forward, last week I finally went on a date with the guy, and to say the least, it wasn’t what I expected. When he first saw me he told me that he knew a lot of people like me (context: I have pink hair) and that “you are always trying to get people’s attention, like, yeah I see you, calm down”.

Then he went on to make fun of the amethyst quartz I’m always wearing calling it “superficial, superstitious”. In this same spirit he started talking about how good/accurate the 16 personalities test was, I thought we were onto something more light-hearted so I responded with something along the lines of “yeah, just like my horoscope” which I think made him incredibly mad, because he started telling me how stupid those things were, and that for an atheist I was too spiritual, and that he doesn’t waste his time on such “superficial things”.

I don’t know why, but I mentioned that I had a Pinterest board about my dream wedding and that I already had my dress, hair, deco… and of course he had to say something crappy: “why are females always so interested in weddings? I really don’t get it”.

In between those awkward moments, we actually had interesting conversations. He asked me what kind of music did I listen to, and naturally, I answered that I loved Taylor Swift. Then he made this face as if he was going to throw up and I asked him why was he making that face, he just told me that Taylor’s music was too frivolous for him, and that he only listened to artist that actually know how to write good lyrics.

So after making fun of the things I liked, my hair, my dream wedding, my favorite things and other stuff I don’t have enough space nor the time to write, he started to talk about his ex and how he didn’t understand why she left and it almost brought him to tears so I just asked him if he had broken a heart and he told me “no, I couldn’t, I’m too much of an empath to do that, I’m just too sensitive”.

See, I’m very open. if you have kinks, experiences, preferences… I don’t care as long as it’s consensual; however, I find it weird to bring this stuff up with someone you’ve been talking to for less than three hours, because he started telling me stories about explicit things he had done, and how it smelled and tasted like, and about that time he was running without anything on, at the beach. Keep in mind I didn’t bring this up, and I never shared anything of this nature about me. Again, no kink shame here, but I expect those conversations with close friends, not with a stranger.

What creeped me out about this guy is that he described himself as very idealistic, sensitive, empathetic, romantic… when in my experience it couldn’t be further from the truth. A person like that doesn’t make fun of other people’s beliefs, hobbies, likes, professions… a person like that doesn’t brag about that time they kicked a boy in school until he started crying, a person like that doesn’t talk badly about others, a person like that doesn’t bring up unsolicited intimate stuff… It creeped me out because I cannot understand how did he come to the conclusion he was like that because those are two different people.

I ask if I’m exaggerating because maybe that’s just his sense of humour, or because my friend told me that he had introduced him to other female friends of his and that everyone thought he was nice, or maybe it’s just my internalized feeling of “you take everything too seriously” and that if I had been so uncomfortable I would have walked out before, which I feel guilty for. Nonetheless, my female friends told me that I’m the right and that if my gut feeling tells me something is wrong, something IS wrong.

I told the friend that introduced me to this guy what had happened a grosso modo and he was baffled because this guy was actually very nice to him and to other female friends he had introduced him to before… but told me that he’s really sorry and that he was going to put some distance with that guy. My friend even told me that this guy told him how good of a time he had with me.

Anyway, have you ever been with people like this? I’m really sorry for the rant.
