DOCTOR MAKES S$62,000 FROM FALSE CHAS CLAIMS INVOLVING 215 PATIENTS

Doctor Wong Choo Wai, 50, was charged in court Thursday (Sep 2) for his alleged involvement in forging more than S$62,000 in medical claims that involve 215 patients at his clinics.

He cheated polyclinics into paying subsidies under the Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) by submitting false claims for medical procedures that he did not do.

For those procedures that he did, he allegedly inflated the amount claimed and falsified the medical case notes of his patients to create evidence to support the claims.

These alleged offences took place between 2015 and 2016.

Wong is the owner of two private clinics, Bedok and Day and Night Clinic and Jurong Day and Night Clinic, and practices medicine in one of them.

Eight counts of cheating and falsification of accounts were brought to him in court on Thursday.

He faces a jail term up to 10 years and a fine for every individual charge of cheating and falsifying accounts under the Penal code.

His bail has been set at S$60,000 and his case would be heard again in court on Sept 30.

YP POLICEMAN TRY TO WOO WOMAN IN RETURN FOR HELPING HER WITH CNB CASE

25 Y.O Police Sergeant, Teo, was charged with corruption on Thursday (2 September) for trying to court a woman and in return assist her with her pending case with Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB).

He misused a Singapore Police Force (SPF) computer system on Nov 2, 2019 to access the data files of individuals that the police arrested in their operations.

He sent the woman a photograph related to the operation where she was caught on a month later on Dec 8.

Using the photograph, he allegedly tried to ask for gratification from the woman in the form of a romantic relationship and in return he will help to assist in her pending case with CNB.

His request was rejected by the woman and Teo was therefore charged with a count of unauthorised access of computer materials, another for wrongful communication of information and another for corruption.

CPIB said that they will not hesitate to take stern action against corruption, especially so if they are public officers who abuse their authorities and destroy the reputation of the Public Service.

Teo could be jailed up to five years, fined up to S$10,000 or both if he is convicted of corruption.

For wrongful communication of information under the Official Secrets Act, the penalties are imprisonment up to two years and a fine up to S$2,000.

For unauthorised access to computer materials under the Computer Misuse Act, the penalties are a S$5,000 fine and two years jail or both.

IT GM SLAMS DOOR TO SHOW AUTHORITY, REGRETS LATER AS CEO’S FRIEND WAS THERE

The man who sends us the story recently of an unqualified IT GM has updated us with new info on bad workplace behaviour.

Here is the story:

Hi Singapore Uncensored, Thanks for publishing my story I have more to share.

Sometime back, while it was during lunchtime I was chit-chatting with 3 other managers of our hobbies and one of the managers started laughing a bit loud.

Well, it was lunchtime and no one cared. But the IT came out of the room and stared at us with hate in his eyes and slammed the door at us. The managers were shocked when they heard the loud bang and quickly scattered like ants.

However, the CEO’s childhood friend was among the group that was chatting. A day later while having a meeting with my general manager he said that the other managers should not be chit-chatting and make so much noise.

I angrily told him: “Hello you bang door the noise even louder, you not happy can say no need bang here bang there. We working in office not go Geylang gang fight”

He said that he was just showing his authority as a general manager. I said: “Good luck to you, you just slam the door at the CEO’s childhood friend who is a senior manager in the company.”

After I told him that, his face turned green and started being nice to all the staff for the next 2 weeks.

But a leopard never changes its spots and a dog will forever eat faeces. Again his lan jiao behaviour came back again.
