MAN LOST $6,000 AFTER “FAILED DELIVERY ATTEMPT” BY FAKE SGPOST

I got a text from ‘sgpost’ (no number) that I had a failed delivery attempt. i went to the website and it asked me to pay $2 for re-scheduling the delivery. i did. i put in the otp. after some time, it said payment failed.

Another otp was immediately sent to my phone when I generated it. it was so quick that i failed to see that a transaction of $3200 had already occurred and that you (my credit card bank) had sent the usual text to call them if unauthorised. I put in the new otp and the same process happened again. but this time, i saw the unauthorised transaction oF usd2000 above the new otp generated.

I called uob within 3 minutes.

It was only during this phone call that i was informed of the earlier transaction i missed. my police report was filed immediately that night and within hours an officer was assigned to my case.

i’m still trying to resolve these transactions with the bank.

BOYFRIEND CHEATS ON GIRL WITH ANOTHER GUY, MEETS SWIMMER BOYS

My boyfriend nearly cheated on me with another guy (yes a guy). My boyfriend isn’t gay and he claims that he isn’t bi too. We agreed on having no physical intimacy until we are wedded.

Many months back when he went for his routine swim at the Safra in Toa Payoh, he saw a guy hanging around in a shower cubicle and felt the guy was looking for more. My boyfriend says the guy tried to hint him which got him curious and through easy google he found a forum called Blowing Wind where men were openly discussing and searching for these activities.

By sheer luck, my boyfriend saw a posting about a “missed connection” and the description matches the guy. My boyfriend reached out to him and they chatted. My boyfriend confessed over time the chat turned S in nature as that made him very curious and the guy was slowly making his move.

(My boyfriend found out from one other member in that forum that this guy swims regularly there and had regularly tried to get guys into his shower cubicle before and made posts in the forum for missed connections. Are such incidents not prohibited?)

A few weekends ago the guy made his ultimate move and dated my boyfriend to meet near a boardwalk in Macritchie Reservoir to show him how to have ‘fun’ but it was a no-show. Although he was a no-show, he continued to make relentless attempts and moves on my boyfriend, including sending photographs of his parts. It was before their second planned appointment that I found out. My boyfriend had left their telegram chat open on his computer and I saw their conversation.

I tried to confront the guy on the Blowing Wind forum but was met with hostility such as threats that I was harassing and doxxing (I suspect some of the hostility might be from him anonymously). He removed all his contacts so I had no choice but to confront him there in a public sphere, I wanted to do it public to shame him for the hurt he has done to me. He has not apologized till this date and the owner of that forum has also blocked the topic. I am so shocked that he was in the wrong but I am ridiculed and they condoned his wrongdoing.

What should I do next to get the apology and warn him not to come near my boyfriend again? He actually has a girlfriend himself and I pity the girl whom likely have no idea what her boyfriend is doing behind her back.

GIRL DATES GOOD LOOKING GUY THAT DON’T WANT TO SETTLE DOWN, SEEKS ADVICE

0

I(30f) have been dating a guy(35m) whom I get to know through a dating app 2 years ago. He is the kind of ideal guy that every girl wants – humourous, good looking and works as an SWE earning $8k/mth.

He is also very caring and I must say he is really great on bed.

However, even after 2 years, our relationship has never been official. He has never introduced me to his friends and parents. What I find even more puzzling is that our dates are always on weekday nights, as he reserves his weekends are for his studies (self study coding) and parents. Am I not part of his family? I have always asked him for an explanation but he will brush me off by saying I should be mature and understand his priorities.

I am enjoying the time spent with him and want to settle down quickly as I’m already entering my early thirties. Should I move on and not waste my youth on him?

Here are what netizens think:

  • You sound really naive. Either you don’t have much dating experience or you choose to close your eyes to all the red flags that you are just someone he sleeps with with no commitment.
  • 2 yrs of “dating” but never been out on wkends b4 is already a big red flag.Men who are serious with you, will definitely rush you to meet their parents. Those couldn’t be bothered type, are definitely not into marriage at all.Move on~~
  • Seriously for the past 2 years? Omg! When i read the meet up only on weekdays night. He is most probably he has a family, a married man. For me, if a relationship over 3 months, and i still don’t know his friends and family, i will not continue and stay. Please find out soon, ask him to bring you to see his parents. So, whether to stay or leave is your choice.
  • He is telling her wife and children the same thing. I have to work late on the weekdays to complete my project so that I can spend time with you during the weekends.

GIRLS GET GHOSTED BY A MODEL AND WONDERS WHY SHE GOT GHOSTED

0

I didn’t know I was his rebound till he ghosted me. I was seeing this guy for a few months. He was a model and very good looking.

He was a friend of my schoolmate. I regret getting together with him too soon else I would have noticed something wasn’t right. He pursued me not long after we first met. He bought me flowers and chocolates and cute stuff during that time. I really thought he liked me. He brought me to meet his family and friends and I let him meet my family too. He even talked about getting a pair of couple rings but I refused. I wanted to wait till we reach our first year anniversary or a special occasion. But he surprised me with a simple ring for me to wear anyway. I felt what we had was so intense.

A few more months into the relationship he mentioned he needed to meet his ex to settle some issues because they share a pet and she can’t keep the pet anymore. He told me about his ex when I asked but I guess I asked the wrong questions. I didn’t know he broke up with her just weeks before meeting me. Then weeks past, he started to contact me less. He took longer to reply me. Once he arranged to meet me and failed to show up. I was worried because he was uncontactable. I actually thought he got into an accident and called a mutual friend.

Only to find out he was with that mutual friend. He told me he forgot about our date and asked me to go home. He didn’t even say sorry to me. He said he needed a few days to himself. I waited a week and called his phone because he was not responding to my texts. A girl picked up his call. I was furious. I asked if she was his ex. She said no, she’s someone else. He can’t even be bothered to tell me it’s over.

I kept wondering what did I do wrong. I felt so lost for a while. I managed to slowly get over it and started to feel happy again. I even started to meet other people and had put him in the past until he texted me. He wanted to meet. I told him to leave me alone and blocked him.

Just when I’m happy again why is he back? I feel I am back to the day when he made another person tell me it’s over. He used me. Why is he doing this to me? Please don’t buy a girl a ring and get a middleman to break up with her. It’s hurtful and disgusting and plain horrible.

UNCLE SEEN EATING LEFTOVERS AT HAWKER CENTRE, SO MAN BUYS HIM LUNCH

Singaporean activist Gilbert Goh shared how he saw an uncle eating leftovers at Waterloo hawker centre, and he then decided to buy him a chicken briyani meal.

Here is what he said

Felt sad to see this man eating leftovers at Waterloo hawker center and decided to buy him a yummy $5 chicken briyani meal which he quickly finished.

He looks homeless with his bags and speaks incoherently. He doesn’t really look familiar to us as we ply Waterloo area frequently.

I was happily tucking in my own briyani when I saw him sitting down and consuming some leftover food and teh tarik.

Our eyes met and he signalled me to purchase for him some fresh food – maybe he recognized me.

It’s a simple request to meet as we have being distributing lunch packs weekly at Waterloo.

We just wish that hawker stalls are kind enough to pass him a simple meal if they happen to see leftover-food consumers plying the area.

Waterloo also has one of the highest leftover food consumers and though we are there regularly to distribute free meals weekly, we may have miss some along the way.

It is estimated that Singapore has close to 100 leftover-food consumers mainly concentrated in elderly matured estates such as Chinatown, Bendemeer, Beach Road, Toa Payoh, Redhill, Ang Mo Kio, Waterloo among others.

If you happen to see someone eating off the table, please buy them a meal – that will do wonders for them and restore their faith in humanity.

Do something good for Singapore – a charity movement to alleviate the hardships of displaced elderly Singaporeans.

In a video sent to us by a reader, a woman was filmed shovelling what appears fertiliser along a pedestrian walkway.

The netizen who posted the video said: “Woman equipped with tool and a trolley bag, scooping and made away fertilizer from plants along the pavement.

Here are what netizens think:

  • The fertilizer got the smell she like that’s why she take them home
  • Some people obviously are not poor and they want to save every cent they can.
  • Maybe there is something wrong with the woman’s mind?

GUY SAY IF HE’S AN SG GIRL HE CAN EARN $100K A MTH BY SELLING HIS BODY OR HIS BATHWATER

0

A Singaporean guy recently posted on Facebook and stated on how he wishes he was a girl as he would be able to make millions easily. He said that he could easily earn $5,000 a day by selling his body or selling his bath water.

Here is the full story.

Sometimes I wish I was a girl. As a 23 year old, if I was a slightly pretty girl, it is extremely easy to make millions. In the past, the one of the easy way for a girl to make millions is to become a prostitute. For example, on the forums, local university girls have an hourly fee of 700 dollars. Some of the younger ones would request to as high as 1000 and if you go to higher end escort forums as much as 5000.

Considering an low count of 5 clients a day, that amounts to 5000 a day. Do it 5 days a week and they could make around 100k a month, possibly out earning some of our ministers and definitely out earning the ‘mediocre people who earn only 500k a year’. I know of girls auctioning their v*rginity for multi-millions to Arabian oil barons. These days, there are a lot more options for girls these days. They can be a twitch streamer or a Instagram model. Belle Delphine makes around 2 million a month feeding her octopus pet and selling her bath water for up to $30 a bottle (which was sold out in hours).

Only fans is also another platform for girls to make money fast. With technology, they don’t even need to meet their clients physically. The possibilities are endless as long as there are legions of h*rny teenagers (and half grown men) in their mom’s basement to exploit. Unfortunately as a male, my options are rather limited. I did consider providing anal services even though I am not gay, but the pay is quite low and the market is rather small in Singapore.

Unfortunately, I don’t look like Brad Pitt, so no girls would pay me for company. Even if I manage to get to FAANG or hedge funds, I would only make 200k-500k a year by my 30s which is very mediocre compared to what these girls could make at their 20s. Realistically, I would probably work in a regular job, maybe earn my first million by 40 or 30 if I am extremely lucky which is rather sad ngl.

FAMILY SUFFERING FROM DAILY NOISES COMING FROM THE VOID DECK

0

Dear Community,

Would like to know if you have faced such situation and that there are any solutions to mitigate the noise level generated from logistics. As there were quite many of the tiles storing at Generator and Tank Room of Carpark block.

Whilst bearing the noise generated at Carpark Level 1 of Blk 358A Woodlands Avenue 5, as it have been going on for couple of year. We thought installing sound proof window would work, however quite recently it became quite loud and unbearable especially when it occurs almost daily from Mon and to even Sunday. The challenge is that it even happened at around 7.30am to 8am+ on many weeks.

As the noise is affecting both me and my kids, esp I am working till late and trying to have a proper sleeping more recently over the months.

We then spoke to the contractor and request if they can carry out their logistics later of the morning say 10am or even noon or evening, but they refused and even shouting back at us to get lost. So I’m wondering if anyone have experience such and if there are any solutions for that?

Thank you.

S’POREAN SHARES STORY ON HUMBLE BANGLADESHI HANDYMAN

A story was recently shared by Facebook user Fabian Ke after his great experience with a Bangladeshi handyman. He stated on how this handyman was extremely hard working and helpful and he even paid him double for his hard work. They even talked over a cup of coffee and the handyman told the customer on how he had to support his family even though it’s extremely tough at this point in time. He even shared on how he was cheated by a pub at upper Thomson that isn’t paying him for a finished partition job.

Here is the full story

My glass sliding door got stuck recently, so I just got a random handyman I found online to fix it for me. He quoted me $100 for the job via WhatsApp.

Yesterday at 5pm, Anowar came over with a suitcase of tools. I was shocked to find out he came over by public transport. (As I live by east coast beach)

We dismantled the door and quickly realised that the rollers (wheel thing) that he bought were not the right size.

Anowar quickly apologised and said he would leave now and find the right rollers. He left me waiting for almost 4 hours. I had to cancel dinner plans. I wanted to get upset but seeing how hard he is working and how determined he is to get the job done really got to me. I’m pretty sure he used the public transportation again.

When he returned, he said he looked all over but couldn’t find the right model. I told him that it’s ok, and told him to try finding it again when he has the time. We put back the sliding glass, and I gave him $50 for his troubles. He said he will come back again tomorrow.

Today Anowar showed up at 630pm with the right rollers. He did the job in 20 minutes and it’s as good as new. I chatted with him while I was supporting the glass for him. He has 2 sons and a 14 year old daughter in Bangladesh that has her right side paralysed from a vehicular accident. He also told me about work problems and a pub at upper Thomson that isn’t paying him for a finished partition job. I advised him to always put everything on paper. Working in Singapore must be so tough and lonely for our Bangladeshi brothers. I cannot imagine myself in their situation. They have nothing but my respect. Before he left I made him my best coffee and sat down with him to chat some more.

I gave him double what he quoted me for the job and gave him something extra for a taxi ride back home. He was so touched that he was near to tears. Made me wanna cry too.I gave him all my remaining coffee powder since he said he enjoyed it. Thank you Anowar and our Bangladeshi brothers for building our buildings and maintaining our city. Love, from Singapore.

**If u need a handyman who is determined and hardworking, 9864 7502 Anowar**

Update : Didn’t expect this post to get shared so many times, I hope Anowar can deal with all the extra business he is getting. He has been in Singapore for 20 years, I’m sure he can repair almost anything. Thank you for your kind words.
