From August 16 to 27, 2021, the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) launched an island-wide operation that resulted in the arrest of 161 alleged drug offenders. A total of 3,069g of heroin, 544g of ‘Ice,’ 53g of cannabis, 37g of ketamine, 31 ‘Ecstasy’ pills, 116 Erimin-5 tablets, and 11 bottles of methadone were confiscated during the two-week island-wide investigation.

The value of the narcotics confiscated is believed to be more than $253,000. A 17-year-old Singaporean woman accused of drug usage was the youngest person detained in this island-wide investigation.

Lakeside, Potong Pasir, Seng Kang, Teck Whye, and Woodlands are among the locations during the island-wide operation.

Onan Road

CNB police entered a hotel room on Onan Road on the afternoon of August 18, 2021, in one of the instances of this island-wide operation, and detained two 47-year-old Singaporean males inside.

A search of the room yielded about 370 grams of ‘Ice,’ 37 grams of ketamine, and 105 Erimin-5 pills. A 39-year-old Singaporean woman, thought to be another hotel room tenant, was later apprehended in the same area.

Tampines Ave 2 & Beo Crescent

CNB officers searched a residential unit near Tampines Ave 2 in the late hours of August 18, 2021, and detained a 48-year-old Singaporean guy there in another operation. Forced entry was carried out when the 48-year-old man failed to obey the CNB officers’ legitimate orders to open the door.

A search of the apartment was undertaken, and a total of 2,142 grams of heroin, 8 grams of ‘Ice,’ 11 bottles of methadone, and $12,300 in cash were discovered in different locations.

CNB police apprehended a 53-year-old Singaporean guy in the early morning of August 19, 2021, in the neighborhood of Beo Crescent, and around 472g of heroin was confiscated from him.

Compassvale

CNB police searched a residential unit in the neighborhood of Compassvale Street on August 24, 2021, and detained a 25-year-old Singaporean man and a 32-year-old female foreign national. Three packets containing about 3g of ‘Ice,’ three ‘Ecstasy’ pills, assorted drug paraphernalia, and a nightstick were confiscated from the apartment during the search.

A car purportedly lost control and crashed into a pedestrian walkway.

The accident happened on 24 August, beside Yew Tee Point.

It is unclear how the accident happened or whether the driver was injured from the accident.

A netizen shared a photo of a handicapped parking lot at what is allegedly from a new BTO housing project.

The handicapped lot didn’t have a ramp at the sides of the kerb, defeating its purpose for the disabled (ie wheelchair bound persons).

Minister of Health Ong Ye Kung announced on his Facebook on 29 August that Singapore’s vaccination rate (for 2 doses) has crossed the 80% mark.

He shared that over 4,300 individuals who are homebound have received their jab administered by the home vaccination team.

Ong thanked the “over 200 volunteer doctors and nurses, as well as the SAF” who helped to meet the demand.

The government aims to complete all home vaccinations by the end of next month, with Ong adding that they are tripling the number of home vaccination teams to 33, up from 11.

Her leg then got hurt in the process and she screamed for help, at which point another passing cyclist saved her and called the police.

I dont even know who he is. I was walking out of the restroom and when i turned around i saw a chinese 20 something year old man, he stared at me while exposing his you know and i got scared.

I love my boyfriend, but he has some weird hobbies that I can’t really take it.

As a man, he is always there for me and always treats me to the best food, when I’m sick he will take leave to take care of me. However, he has a weird way of punishing me
