A girl shared a story on how she tried to cheer her boyfriend up by inviting him over to her place for some ‘action’ but by doing so made things awkward and threw her whole reputation to the ground.
Apparently, her boyfriend was on speaker mode when talking to her and his whole family was around him in the living room when she asked him over for ‘action’.
Here is the story
“I have been together with my boyfriend for almost 5 years since knowing each other midway through our polytechnic days.
My boyfriend called me one evening as usual after finishing his work to chat.
So usually. when my boyfriend has me on speaker phone, he answers like “yo, what’s up, I’m on speaker phone”
However, this time he did not say so.
He’s talking to me as usual, complaining about his work and sounded quite depressed.
He says he’s tired with not having enough work life balance and bored with everything going on at his workplace.
I playfully said, “You could come over and have some ‘fun’ with me! Hahaha”.
Suddenly, there was silence, and more silence then he hanged up the phone.
10 minutes later, I get many frantic texts from him and slowly piece together what I just did.
Of course, he was on speaker phone. And of course, he was in the living room. And of course, his entire very conservative Catholic family was around him.
There was his dad who praised me for being a good influence in his life, his mum who taught me how to cook and whom I spent a lot of time with, and his younger siblings that I’ve played many rounds of overcooked and games with.
I feel like I have ruined all the hard work in creating a good impression to his family members in just that few seconds.”
