GUY SEES INTOXICATED GIRL ALONE AT MRT STATION VOMITING, ASKS IF HE SHOULD HELP

0

A netizen shared how he took the last train and saw a drunk girl vomiting at the MRT station and wondered if he should help her.

Here is the story:”

I usually take the late train on friday nights. Just so happened that tonight I caught the last train at Dover MRT.

As I walk toward the end of the train I notice this girl enter at the same station as well. Something looked off about her. She seemed like she was in a daze.

As she got in, she just stood next to the door and leaned her head against the wall. Something was wrong, this girl was clearly drunk, wasted would probably the correct term.

As the train set off I noticed she had a little trouble maintaining her balance but did not sit although most seats around her were unoccupied.

As we approach Clementi MRT, her discomfort seemed even more obvious. The doors opened and she seemed to be even more uncomfortable.

Suddenly, she bolts out into the station, leans against the wall and merlion….

As I watched I wondered if I could help her. Should I even help her ? What could I have done? Did she even need any help? She clearly seemed to be having a tough time keeping her wits about herself. Could she even get home in that state? Could I call someone? Was she safe? Could I give her something to help? I did not have any water or tissue on me.

Even if I were to ask her if she was ok would she just ask me to mind my own business? What if she puked on me instead? Would she feel threaten and unsafe if a burly guy were to ask she was ok in that state?

Not sure what I could do but feeling a need to help to do something, I sat there contemplating and watching the scene unfold.

Before I could do anything, my decision was made for me as the train doors closed and the last train for the day left the station.

To the girl who got off the last train at Clementi from Dover. I genuinely hope that you are ok and you managed to get home safe and sound.

I’m really not sure what I could have done to help even with hindsight, but I genuinely hope you are ok.

What would you have done? Would you help? How would you help? Is this a legal nightmare waiting to happen? How would you feel in that condition if a burly male stranger approached you to offer help in that state? Would really appreciate some advise as I am feeling abit guilty.

Still feel I could do something to help but just not sure what…”

Editor’s note: No point asking one thousand and one questions online after you have already decided not to help her.

MOTHER WORRIED BECAUSE DAUGHTER GOING TO SPEND NIGHT WITH BF IN HOTEL

0

A netizen shared how she is worried her daughter is going to lose her virginity to her boyfriend, after he booked a hotel stay for the two of them.

Here is the story:

“I as a mother of 2 daughters, am actually quite worried. My daughter’s boyfriend booked a hotel stay a few months ago for a staycation for her 18th birthday using rediscover vouchers.

Although we were invited to celebrate my daughters birthday together, my husband and I decided not to stay in the hotel as we have work the next day.

Her boyfriend is a nice and kind person, but I as a parent, have my fears that my daughter lost her v-card to him during their night stay ALONE TOGETHER.

After all, with the normalisation of local celebrities and influencers getting pregnant before marriage (which many were lucky that their partners did not leave them), I do not wish for this to happen to my daughter(s)!

Should I talk to my daughter about their hotel stay? Should I ban my daughters from going to a hotel? Set a daily 9pm curfew? What should I do?”

Editor’s note: I think you need to have a talk with your daughter before the staycay.

The school then commented on his TikTok video and it became apparent quickly that they were none too pleased with what they had seen.

NYP commented on his video, saying:

“You almost made our hearts stop. Please desist for your safety (and for our heart health). We gotta be the responsible adults here and say please don’t do this. To the rest, don’t copy please.”

The video has since been taken down from his TikTok page, but not before garnering 246,000 views and more than 400 comments.

MAN SIT ON MARKED SEAT, SHOUT AT SECURITY & POLICE THEN KENA ARRESTED

A video emerged online showing a man creating a ruckus at a food court and shouting at the security and police, before being arrested.

The man had apparently sat on a marked seat, according to the OP, who said:

“Because he sit on marked X and chained seat. The caption on one of the video says ‘there are still a lot of seat but why still wanna sit at the chained seat’.”

The man was seen shouting at a man wearing a security shirt, who is presumably a security officer.

He was heard in the video shouting something about “I know better then you”, something about security, “think I don’t know is it, I know better than you lah!”.

The rest of what he was shouting was pretty much unintelligible.

In the next cut of the video, he was seen shouting at the police officers who had by then arrived, and he was apparently uncooperative with the police.

He was then pinned down onto the ground and arrested, as he shouted at the police officers that he “cannot control”.

MAN SUDDENLY PUSHED TROLLEY ONTO ROAD, NOT HAPPY DRIVER HONKED AT HIM

A video emerged online showing a man suddenly emerging from the pavement and pushing his trolley out onto the road at a car park.

The driver jam braked and honked at him, to which the man was unhappy.

Here is the full story:

“Deliveryman in his own world oblivious to the traffic in the carpark. Had to jam brake when he just pushed his trolley out onto the road.

No horn, no nothing. Just followed him slowly. He just unbelievably stopped in the middle of the junction to check on his deliveries.

Horned just once for him to move on and he snapped. Stopped beside him to remind him to look out for cars in the carpark and vulgarities came out.”

MAN PARKED AT MARINA BAY CRUISE CENTRE, ALLEGEDLY CHARGED $60 FOR 8 HOURS

0

A netizen, Ryan Smith, shared on Facebook how he parked at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre’s carpark and was allegedly charged more than $60 for 8 hours.

He also claimed that there was no signage to inform him of the parking charges, and he complained the the Marina Pier, which is further away, is always full.

This is what he said:

“Parked at Marina Bay Cruise Centre carpark. Got charged $8 per hour!! $60+ for 8hrs of parking!! Ridiculous!!

There was no signage viable on the parking charges. It’s a trap to rip off!! Further Marina Pier parking is always full. Ridiculous parking situation at Marina cruise centre area!”

Possible explanation

Another netizen then tried to debunk his charges and gave a fairly reasonable explanation as to why he was charged such an exorbitant fee.

The netizen said:

“Maximum rate per day is $18 leh. U park at coach bay is it? I calculated, seems about right. $62 for 8hrs of parking at coach bay. Or else you’d only be charged $18 @ their designated carpark.”

PRE-SCHOOL RESPONDS TO PARENT WHO CLAIMS THEY TOOK GRAD PHOTO ON PHONE

0

MMI Montessori, the pre-school being accused by a parent for cheapening out on the graduation photos of their child in K2, has responded to the allegations.

Here is the statement:

“Dear All,

It has come to our attention that there was a post regarding our recent K2 graduation photos and we are saddened to see the situation being put-forth this way.

On 29 Nov, we had our students take their graduation pictures. Because we had our graduation gowns early, we brought our students down to have a casual shoot.

Student X’s parents had informed us that student X will not be attending school anymore (as the school year was closing) and thus would like to receive the photos asap.

We sent student X’s parents the behind the scene photos as the ones taken from the professionals were not ready for collection.

When they voiced out that the photos taken were not clear/up to standard, we accepted their feedback and offered a refund to the parents.

However, we would like to clarify that the pictures shown were not the finalized version of the graduation photos.

As seen from the past few years, we have always delivered proper and professional photos. As we are a school, it usually takes a few days for transactions to go through.

As educators, we work tirelessly to give the best to our students, and it’s very discouraging to read accounts like these online.

We are not here to apologize to the public or seek empathy. We simply ask that you extend grace and patience.

We are sorry that parents X had a bad experience, and we will continue to reach out to them in hopes that we can come to a mutual understanding of the situation and each other.

Regards,
MMI Katong Management”

NETIZEN CHANGES JOBS THEN GETS DISMISSED TWICE – NOW TRAUMATIZED

0

A netizen shared how he/she left a stable job in December 2019 and has’t been able to stay in a company for longer than 6 months.

Here is the story:

“After leaving a stable job for 3 years since 2019 December to make a career switch to a completely new field (technical based), I have not been able to stay in 1 company for long, not beyond 6 months between beginning 2020 till now end of 2021.

One of the companies I was employed in dismissed me before 2 months and the other dismissed me shortly after 2 months (I had 3 years of experience in that field).

In between my employments gaps, I have been applying for many jobs (at least 30?) both technical and non-technical, but I seldom get any response or interview invitation, even for non-technical roles in which I have experience.

I feel so demoralized.

I have even resorted to lowering my salary expectations to accept a pay cut from my salary before 2020.

Despite the pay cuts, I still could not pass probation beyond 2 months. My manager was unsatisfied with my performance even though I felt that they should be more forgiving since I was new and the mistakes I made were not really serious.

She even degraded me by saying that I wasn’t putting any effort at all when I had worked hard and even overtime.

I was dismissed on that day without any notice given.

After a few months of continued job searching, I finally got a new job offer which has a blend of both non-technical and technical job scopes and will be starting my first day of work next week. However, I am full of worry and uncertainty about whether I will manage to pass the probation period successfully as I have already been dismissed twice before.

I try to think positively, but my confidence level has dropped so drastically despite my motivation to do well in my next job.

As a result, I have been losing sleep over the last couple of weeks.

How can I get over this, put the past behind me and put my focus on excelling in my next job?”

Editor’s note: Take one day at a time and only focus on getting the tasks for the day done well, then reset the next day. One step at a time and you will get there.
