An enraged netizen has taken to social media to voice out her unhappiness with Housing Development Board (HDB) and Ministry of National Development (MND) about ceiling leakage issues.

In her seemingly long rant, she mentions that HDB has been delaying and pushing the issue around back and forth with the Town Council and MND for many years but nothing is done till date.

“DISGUSTED WITH HDB AND MND FOR NOT ADDRESSING CEILING LEAKAGE FOR YEARS

The ceiling leakage arises from the upper unit renovation in 2017. Through the years, there were leakage and we had to continually hack the ceiling, paint, and repainting yearly. The last painting was before the Chinese New Year 2021. The leakage got worst in 2019 and 2020. Prior to the HDB HIP renovation in May 2021, there already 2 rounds of flood test which failed.

There was flood test by the HIP team at the upper unit in Apr 2021. It failed the flood test, and the upstairs unit refused to respond to HIP team on option to re the waterproof. HIP team proceeded with our HIP renovation in May 2021. On 1 July 2021, HDB proceeded with RED DYE FLOOD TEST OF THE UPPER UNIT without our approval. When HIP team took evidence of the leakage on 9 Jul 2021, HDB replied on 13 July that they are discussing with the upper unit on resolution. HDB visited my unit on 22 July but refused to comment on the leakage saying that they need to see the upper unit. It is puzzling that the leakage is to my unit, yet their professional engineer cannot comment on the bad state of leakage. The upper unit gave excuses of non-availability. On the day of visit to my unit on 22 July, the HDB staff also met this upstairs neighbor at the lift though he claimed non availability. Throughout we noted that he is available, as we could see his car around, working from home and also met him at the lift. We have made numerous calls and written series and series of letters to MP, CEO/HDB, MINISTER MND, MINISTER STATE MND, MND QMS and PMO with no response. All apparently referred to the same branch office.

HDB has been delaying seeing the unit upstairs since the 2nd flood test on 1 July 2021. HDB Informed checking on 13 July, delayed to 22 July to first week of August and now claimed end Aug. Call to MND and HDB Mr Leow Beng Kiat, director (upgrading construction management) daily for past few weeks with phone messages but were not responded to.

All the units within the same column have opted into HIP with the exception of this upper unit. Their structure separating the 2 toilets were hacked. Their flooring is so thin that we would be woken up in middle of night when he pees (sound of bottle of water pouring onto the toilet bowl.) This upstairs unit stomped in the middle of the night and bathed at odd hours from 11:30 pm through to 5.30am. Under HIP requirement, isn’t the upper unit required to opt in and address the problem of their poor water proofing when all their so-called infusion have failed repeatedly so many times.
Please see photos of the stain. It is heart breaking that the leakage appeared within just few days of our newly HIP renovated, hacking and replacement of ceiling and layering of tiles. We felt bullied and angry without any recourse to address the issue. We seek help and advice from the community!

Our questions to HDB:
1) Can residents refuse to deal with HIP contractor when the flood test failed, insisting dealing only with HDB which has been accommodating to this unit and not addressing the issue?

2) When can HDB address the leakage? Can’t HDB give them a legal letter to view the upstairs unit after repeated months of claim of unavailability to HDB.

3) We had paid 50% with upstairs unit in 2015 for re waterproofing. This upstairs unit hacked off the flooring again in 2017 in renovation resulting in the leakage. Are we, the lower unit to be penalized on their decision not to opt into HIP and has to pay yet again 50% for any re waterproofing should leakage recur in a year or two when their methods were not sustainable and failed to address the leakage?

A YP took to Instagram to claim that he is the “#1 god for POA”.

He then scolded the Normal Academic stream students for “talking c**k”, calling them “stupid dogs” and “stupid idiot”.

In a series of other posts on his Instagram, he also said that he had no choice but to take the vaccine, asking people not to “anyhow take vaccine”.

He also said that he supports Israel and he doesn’t hate terrorists, adding:

“I support Israel doesn’t mean I hate terrorists because they are Muslims.”

He added that “Islam is like Christianity, some of it is brainwashed.”

Benjamin Glynn, the Briton who is being charged with not wearing his mask on a train and again outside the state courts, was in court earlier today (18 August) to contest his four charges of not wearing a mask, public nuisance and his use of threatening words to a public servant.

He was assessed by IMH to not be suffering from any mental disorder and his trial began in proper.

His previous hearing saw his supporters clapping and laughing in court, so this time there was added security presence.

Glynn arrived in court handcuffed, and taunted the Deputy Public Prosecutor Timotheus Koh:

“Morning Mr Koh, hope you had a nice two weeks with your family.

Any messages from my family? Maybe my dead grandma has contacted you from beyond the grave.”

The court asked him whether he intends to plead guilty or not, to which he said he didn’t understand why he is being charged in a criminal court.

He argued:

“There’s been no victim. There’s been no harm to any living man or woman. Therefore it’s a farce that I am in a criminal court for a maritime breach … that has no legal jurisdiction over me. My position hasn’t changed. We have no contract whereby I comply to wearing a mask.”

Supporter causing a scene

One of Benjamin Glynn’s supporter was not wearing her mask properly when a security guard told her to do so.

She then reacted to the guard angrily as her mask slipped down and she had her entire mask off her face.

She was then told by District Judge Eddy Tham to step outside if she was not wearing a mask.

The agitated woman then exclaimed: “This is a ridiculous kangaroo court!”

The security guards then approached her as she told them: “You don’t touch me, I have no contract with you!”

She then said something about this not being about a mask, but about “control”.

A man then tried to admit himself as the accused’s (Glynn) lawyer but failed because he didn’t have a practising license, then told the security guard to refrain from “provoking” the woman.

Judge Tham then ordered the woman to be taken out of the courtroom: “That is enough interruption, please bring her out of the courtroom now.”

Proceedings were halted as the woman was hauled out of court, she then exclaimed as security guards surrounded her (without touching her): “You don’t tell me what to do, I’m a living, breathing woman. Shut up. I do not respect the judge.”

As the judge was away, Glynn continued his taunting remarks at the prosecutor: “Back to law school for you, Mr Koh.”

Made sarcastic remarks to Investigation Officer

Koh played video clips of Glynn not wearing a mask inside a train cabin on 7 May, as well as him outside the court without a mask.

Unrepresented Glynn, started his cross examination of the investigation officer:

“Some great investigation work there … Sherlock Holmes will be proud of you.”

The trial is still ongoing at the time of writing.

This is something unexpected as most of the time people normally assume that the subscribers will be men instead of a woman.

Here is the story:

I just found out that my girlfriend is subscribed to 2 GUY OnlyFans accounts! I thought only guys will subscribe to OnlyFans so I was shocked when I found out that my girlfriend is subscribed to 2 guy OnlyFans accounts.

One is a white guy and the other is an Asian guy. Both are straight P stars and look like your typical P star, big muscle, six-pack and well hung. Their content is pretty much your typical P, lots of s*x with different girls.

Earlier today MOH reported the 8th death case that occurred in August.

Case 67329, a 90-year-old male Singaporean, has passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection on 17 August 2021.

He had developed symptoms on 29 July, and was detected when he was tested for COVID-19 on 1 August as part of our community surveillance testing.

The following day, he developed shortness of breath and giddiness and was conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital where he was admitted directly to the ICU for septic shock from COVID-19 pneumonia.

He had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, but was advanced in age and had a history of chronic kidney disease and hypertension. 

In total, 45 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.

A 39-year-old lady barricaded herself in an apartment for three hours during one such operation in Ang Mo Kio.

According to Shin Min Daily News, she was finally arrested under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) Act.

CNB officers raided a flat in Block 245 Ang Mo Kio Ave 3 at approximately 3.20 pm on August 16 as part of an operation, according to Shin Min Daily News.

A 39-year-old lady, on the other hand, refused to answer the door and reportedly threatened to cause harm to herself.

The Crisis Negotiation Unit (CNU) and Special Operations Command personnel were rushed to the area, according to Shin Min Daily News.

Officers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) were also dispatched to help.
