MOTORBIKE RAMS INTO BACK OF BMW AFTER BMW COLLIDED WITH HYUNDAI

A video showing an accident involving three motor vehicles, a Hyundai Avante, a BMW X5 and a motorbike was recently seen circulating on social media.

The accident is said to have happened on 9 December 2021, at around 1200 hrs along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1.

Build up to the accident

A look at the video shows that the Hyundai Avante bearing the number of plate SMW5836Y had initially came to a stop at a red light junction.

It then seems that the Hyundai wanted to change lanes to the left to use the left filter lane to go onto another road as the Hyundai can be seen waiting for cars on the left to go first.

Subsequently, the Hyundai indicated that it wanted to switch lanes to the left by activating the left signal light and started to filter slowly to the left.

Just as the Hyundai was about to complete its lane change, the BMW X5 bearing the number plate of SMR3210S came charging to where the Hyundai was and collided into the left rear passenger seat of the Hyundai.

Unfortunately for the motorbike rider behind the X5 which was following too closely and going at a speed which seems to be quite fast, it smashed into the rear of the BMW X5 resulting in the bike and the motorist falling sideways to the road.

The biker eventually got up onto his feet and went to the driver side of the Hyundai to gesture to the driver using his hands though it was unclear what he was trying to say to the driver.

Its is unclear if anyone was badly hurt from this accident and we hope that everyone involved is alright and we would also like to remind everyone to stay vigilant on the roads.

Origins of Flowflex

The Flowflex brand ART kit is manufactured by a United States (US) based diagnostics and medical devices firm known as Acon Laboratories.

Flowflex was the first of them which was introduced and its initial stockpile was cleared by consumers within three days of its introduction.

There are two other brands namely Alltest and Indicad who had met the quality standards required by Singapore and are currently undergoing the registration process with HSA.

They have however not been included by HSA as of Friday (Dec 10).

Mr Ong added that he hoped that these two companies would price their kits lesser than $5 each.

FairPrice press release

FairPrice has said in their press release that the Flowflex kits are now available at selected Cheers, FairPrice Xpress Convenience stores and its outlets at hospitals.

In the coming week, they will include the kits at more convenience stores with higher human traffic as well as at its Esso service stations.
