ACTOR ALEC BALDWIN SHOT WOMAN TO DEATH WITH PROP GUN ON FILM SET

Actor Alec Baldwin was on set filming for the upcoming movie Rust in the US when he fired a prop gun that killed a woman who was the cinematographer and wounded the director.

The deceased was 42-year-old Halyna Hutchins, a cinematographer and the other injured was the director, 48-year-old Joel Souza, who is in critical condition.

The Santa Fe sheriff said in a statement that they were both shot when a prop firearm was discharged by Alec Baldwin.

Hutchins was conveyed to the hospital in a helicopter but succumbed to her injuries and died, while Souza was sent to hospital in an ambulance and is currently receiving treatment.

According to Hollywood Reporter, a spokesperson told them that the accident involved a prop gun that was supposed to fire blanks.

S’PORE POLICEMAN KILLED ELDERLY WOMAN IN CAR ACCIDENT, JAILED

Norazlan Abdul Aziz, 44-years-old, a station inspector with the Singapore Police Force, pleaded guilty to causing the death of an 84-year-old pedestrian Lee Swee Huak by driving negligently.

He was subsequently sentenced to 2 weeks imprisonment and banned from driving for 5 years.

What happened?

On 21 September 2017, Norazlan had exited a multi-storey carpark at Block 808 Choa Chu Kang Avenue 1.

He was driving along a service road towards the main road.

The victim was crossing a junction at the time but Norazlan failed to keep a proper lookout and hit the woman with his car.

The victim fell in front of the vehicle and Norazlan then stopped the vehicle for about 3 seconds before driving forward again.

This resulted in both the front and rear tyres of the car running over the victim.

The victim was conveyed to NUH where she died 2 hours later from multiple injuries.

KING OF THE ROAD RIDING IN FRONT OF BUS & BLOCKING ITS WAY

A video emerged online showing an errant cyclist riding brazenly in the middle of the road.

He was seen riding right in front of a bus, resulting in the bus unable to speed up and had to slow down as a result.

It is unclear where the incident happened.

GRABFOOD RIDER CRASHED INTO MAN ON PAVEMENT, BOTH K.O ON THE GROUND

A video emerged online showing a man exiting from the side gate of a condominium exit.

Just as he was about to emerge from the gate, a Grabfood delivery rider then crashed into him.

Both men then lain on the ground, incapacitated.

MAN CROSS ROAD WITHOUT LOOKING, ARGUE WITH DRIVER THEN WHACK SIDE MIRROR

A video emerged online showing a man walking across an open carpark without looking, he was looking at the ground at the time.

A car that was driving by then stopped abruptly in front of the man as a result.

The two then got into an argument, with the man insisting that drivers must give way to him, before asking the driver: “you not happy is it?”

The argument then escalated and the man then hit the car’s side mirror and challenged the driver to make a police report.

The incident happened at Block 219 at Ang Mo Kio on 21 October, at around 12.56pm.

MOM INVESTIGATING NOC AFTER CLAIMS OF DELAYED SALARY AND HARASSMENT

The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and the Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP) issued a joint statement yesterday that TAFEP is currently looking into allegations of malpractices following the saga rocking NOC’s Sylvia Chan.

The Singapore Police Force also said that they are investigating the allegations as well.

MOM and TAFEP said:

“Individuals who encounter workplace harassment and have their salaries withheld should contact either TAFEP or the Tripartite Alliance for Dispute Management (TADM) early for assistance.”

ALL CONTENT FROM SYLVIA’S THIRSTY SISTERS YOUTUBE & IG REMOVED

Following the allegations against NOC co founder Sylvia Chan, all the content from her Thirsty Sisters YouTube, Instagram and TikTok have since been removed.

The Thirsty Sisters is a podcast show run by Sylvia and Nina Tan, where they discuss issues in Singapore, including s*xual content.

At the time of writing, all the videos and posts have been removed, although the podcasts on Spotify is still there.

The Thirsty Sisters TikTok was set to private while their Instagram has also been removed.

One of the videos was where they were discussing s*xual innuendoes and dating, which many netizens commented and related it to Sylvia’s alleged cheating.

NOC’S SYLVIA RELEASES ANOTHER STATEMENT: SHE WILL NOT GIVE IN

Fresh allegations levelled against NOC’s Sylvia Chan arose, including the alleged embezzlement of company funds, delayed salaries, unfaithfulness and etcetera.

Following the groundbreaking allegations which swept and took local social media by storm, Chan has since issued a statement via Wake Up Singapore.

The statement was by Chan but it appears as if she was referring to herself in the 3rd person.

She said that she has filed a Magistrate’s Complaint in the State Courts and that the Honourable Magistrate has directed the police to commence investigations.

She defended herself saying that the “evidence” published were skillfully edited to portray a false narrative.

She also said that she was locked out of the company’s financial systems by the Board.

Sylvia then reiterated that she will not give in to this campaign that she says was designed to “bring her to (her) knees”.

DRUGS DELIVERED TO WRONG UNIT, RESULTING IN ARREST

In Singapore, we have strict rules when it comes to illegal substances.

When we are young we often hear our parents say “Don’t carry anything for people in the airport” or “any drug more than the size of 20 cents coin is death penalty”.

A man who was sentenced to jail after his attempt to send drugs became an epic failure.

Channel News Asia reported that 37-year-old Marvin Chew Xuan was arrested after arranging for Lalamove to send drugs but the deliveryman send the drugs to the wrong unit.

Yahoo! News reported that Josh the man who was supposed to receive the package stayed along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6 and was waiting for Lalamove to deliver the package.

However, the deliveryman did not deliver it to the correct unit and sent it to another floor. A woman who received the package open it up and realised that it could be something illegal and she contacted the Police.

Josh called the Lalamove deliveryman and he was told that the package could have send to the wrong floor. Josh went to another floor and asked the woman to return the package.

But the woman refused to do so, The Police eventually found 2.03 grams of methamphetamine in the package leading to the arrest of Chew.

Chew was sentenced to 2years jail while Josh was sentenced to 1-year jail.

AUSTRALIA TO ALLOW TRAVEL FROM S’PORE SOON

In a press conference, Prime Minister of Australia Scott Morrison spoke to the media that 11,000 aircrews will be back to their jobs after announcing the ease of restrictions.

Qantas Airways will be flying several locations including Sydney to Singapore, Bangkok, Phuket, Johannesburg and Fiji.

“We anticipate that being able to be achieved within the next week or so, as we would open up to more visa class holders coming out of Singapore,” He said.
