A woman shared how her husband doesn’t find her attractive while she was going through his emails, and now she is heartbroken.

I recently found an email from my husband to his dad from just before we got married (we got married about 4 months ago).

I wasn’t snooping in his emails he’d asked me to find something he’d sent his dad a while back and I stumbled upon an email thread with my name on it.

I couldn’t help myself but read it (stupid I know) but it was full of pros and cons for getting married to me.

This isn’t out of character for him as he is incredibly indecisive and an overthinker in all parts of his life but the thing that has got to me is on the cons.

One of them was, not very physically attracted to her. It’s broken my heart and I don’t know what to do.

This is really weird, we make check-lists for errands, not for a partner.

MAN SUSPECTS LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP GF IS CHEATING ON HIM

I’ve been with my GF for 2 years and long-distance. Overall we have a happy and loving relationship but there’s been a few instances where I’ve broken it off but it never lasts more than a day or two. Again we’re very happy and love each other and worked through a lot together. But about a week into our relationship she told me she was sick. It didn’t affect much during the week, we still texted and sent pics and videos regularly. It wasn’t until the weekend that things got weird to me.

She pretty much went dark for the whole weekend aside from maybe 5 messages. It would take her at least 4 hrs to reply, if at all, but I know she had her phone nearby. We had a streak on Instagram sending pics and videos every day. I was working during the day and overnight so I almost let the streak die when she saved it literally last minute. She’d also leave me on “read” for hours too so I know she saw my messages. I didn’t think anything of it, just that maybe she got worse and couldn’t reply? I did tell myself that if the weekend ended and she magically got better that would be a red flag.

Surprise! Around the middle of the night on Sunday she sends me a barrage of texts. Like 5-10 messages back to back saying that she missed me and she’s feeling better and if I wanted to talk she was down. I didn’t respond until I was getting ready to head home in the morning and it was a breakup text. It just seemed too weird to me that she’d pretty much ignore me all weekend and then send all those messages in the middle of the night. When I asked what she was doing all weekend she just said sleeping, but I know she was opening my messages minutes after I’d send them and just not responding.

Eventually, I decided I don’t have proof she cheated so we ended up getting back together but…I still wonder what happened that weekend from time to time.

Just wanted to put the story out there and see if anyone had advice or a similar experience?

10,505 NEW CASES IN SINGAPORE, 8 FATALITIES


The Ministry of Health (MOH) has reported a total of 10,505 new cases on 12th February 2022 with 8 fatalities.

10,325 are local and 180 are imported cases.

The weekly growth rate is down to 1.54 (Yesterday was 1.74)

Case details

Of the 10,505 new cases, 7,818 cases are tested positive through ART of which 7,776 are local and 42 are imported.

2,687 cases were confirmed after testing with PCR with 2,549 local cases and 138 imported cases.

MOH reported 8 death cases bringing to death toll to 893.

Other data:

There are currently 1,206 patients in the hospital with 151 of them requiring oxygen and 22 are in the ICU.

93% of Singapore’s population has completed the vaccination program.

63% of Singapore’s population has received booster shots.

Statistics

In total Singapore has recorded 460,775 COVID-19 cases from the start of the coronavirus.

The death toll is 893.

In the last 28 days, there were 158,734 amount of cases with 99.7% of them with no or mild symptoms, 0.3% required oxygen supplementation, 0.04% is in the ICU, 0.03% died.

PM LEE WISHES ALL A HAPPY ‘CHAP GOH MEI’ IN ADVANCE

Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong recently wrote a post and uploaded it onto his social media platform.

In the post, he first notes that this year marks the third year that we are celebrating ‘Chap Goh Mei’ or 15th night of the Lunar New Year while the pandemic is still ongoing.

He adds that in the previous ‘Chap Goh Mei’ in 2021, a smaller scale celebration was held where he spoke to a small group of audience who attended his Lunar New Year address with the rest joining in on virtual platforms.

This year, the rules had relaxed which allowed a larger scale gathering but there was still no ‘lo hei’ to commemorate ‘Chap Goh Mei’

We have grown to adapt to the virus

PM Lee also said that the progress of all three ‘Chap Goh Mei’ events in the previous years showed that we as Singaporeans have learnt to adapt, adjust and live with the virus as more is known about the virus and the availability of vaccines came to our shores.

More challenges other than pandemic

Other than the challenges which the pandemic has presented, PM Lee said that he also spoke about other external challenges and important issues domestically at home.

He then adds that we have went through a lot from these three years of living with the pandemic and will not know what are the future challenges which may arise.

However, PM Lee is sure that as long as we as Singaporeans stand together as one regardless of our race, language or religion, we will definitely emerge victorious against whatever the challenges may be and earn a better future for all Singaporeans.

He ends off his post by wishing everyone a Happy ‘Chap Goh Mei’ in advance.

“In a few days, we will be marking our third Chap Goh Mei since COVID-19. In 2020, I held the normal CGM dinner just as COVID-19 was hitting us, and much was still unknown about the new coronavirus. Last year, we organised a scaled-down hybrid version where I spoke to a small in-person audience, while others tuned in virtually. This year, we could hold a larger in-person gathering, but still no lohei as we used to do before we all started wearing masks.

The progress of my annual Chap Goh Mei event over the past three years reflects our COVID-19 journey. As we learnt more about the virus, and with the arrival of vaccines, we have adapted, adjusted, and learnt to live with the virus.

The pandemic is not our only major challenge. I also spoke about our external situation and some important domestic issues. We have faced some of our darkest hours in this pandemic, and do not know what new crises will arise in the future. But as long as we stand in solidarity as one people, regardless of language, race or religion, we will prevail against adversity, and secure a better and brighter tomorrow for all Singaporeans.

ONG YE KUNG: REACHING 15K TO 20K CASES ‘WITHIN EXPECTATIONS’

Minister of Health, Ong Ye Kung, said today (12 Feb) that reaching five figures of positive cases on certain days is not something that is unexpected and is within expectations.

This comes after the recent spike in cases.

The Minister added that the Omicron variant has a higher transmission rate and reaching 15,000 or even 20,000 cases is ‘within expectations’.

At the current situation, the cases are around 10,000 a day which the Minister says that it is still comfortable.

Impact on healthcare takes precedence

The Minister continued his statement by saying that the ‘top line’, referring to the epidemic’s curve, is not as important as than the viruses’ impact on the capacity of the healthcare system in Singapore, though it is important to know where we are in the fight against the pandemic.

Despite the recent spike in cases, Minister Ong said that the healthcare system in Singapore is still doing well in managing the situation.

This is because the figures have remained unchanged or low, with the amount of people requiring supplementary oxygen maintaining at 0.3 percent, patients who require intensive care or have passed on have is at about 0.05 percent.

These figures are much lower than previously when dealing with the Delta variant.

Most cases with little or no symptoms

Minister Ong added that although the figures that visit the GPs have gone up, most of them have little to no symptoms.

Many visit the GPs for the purpose of getting memos to certified that they are able to return to school or work and there are also many who wants to get MC so that they do not have to go to school or work.

Some also go there as a means to get ART kits.

Minister Ong ended by saying that there will be a press conference held by the Multi-Ministry Task Force soon about whether there will be changes made to the current pandemic measures.

POFMA CORRECTION TO BE ISSUED TO WAKE UP S’PORE FOR POSTS ABOUT COP

News website Wake Up, Singapore is set to be issued a correction direction by the Pofma Office after being instructed to do so by the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and Leader of the House, Indranee Rajah.

The correction order is regarding the posts posted by Wake Up, Singapore on their Facebook and Instagram page on 10 February, about the Committee of Privileges’ (COP) investigations into former MP Raeesah Khan’s conduct.

They said in their posts that the COP had recommended Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh and Faisal Manap be “referred for criminal proceedings”.

ISSUANCE OF CORRECTION DIRECTION UNDER THE PROTECTION FROM ONLINE FALSEHOODS AND MANIPULATION ACT TO WAKE UP, SINGAPORE

The Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and Leader of the House has instructed the POFMA Office to issue a Correction Direction to ‘Wake Up, Singapore’ in relation to its Facebook and Instagram posts dated 10 February 2022.

It will be required to carry correction notices on its Facebook and Instagram pages, stating that the posts contain a false statement of fact.

  1. Wake Up, Singapore’s posts contained a false statement that the Committee of Privileges recommended that Mr Pritam Singh and Mr Muhamad Faisal Bin Abdul Manap be referred for criminal proceedings, even though there was no finding by the Committee that they lied.
    In making this false statement, the posts suggested that the Committee had recommended referring Mr Singh and Mr Faisal to the Public Prosecutor without basis.
    The posts published by Wake Up, Singapore misrepresent the Committee’s findings and muddy the waters as to the proper role of the Committee.

BMTC BUNK BED HAS MOSQUITO NETS, NETIZENS RATTLED

A recent picture posted by the Basic Military Training Centre (BMTC) with regards to their latest enlistment exercise has drew flak from netizens all over the internet.

The picture in question appears to be taken from part of the BMTC tour offered to visitors who went to Pulau Tekong to see off the enlistees as they transition from a civilian to a soldier.

A closer look at the picture reveals that a bunk bed inside one of the living quarters of the recruits has been installed with mosquito netting.

Of course, netizens who have served the army be it past or present and even those who did not serve before have gathered to comment on the picture.

Everyone in the comments section, presumably the ‘hokkien pengs’ (hokkien soldiers), and even the younger generation suddenly started commenting like their time in the army was the toughest and the recruits now are all like ‘gu niangs’ (soft).

The cold weather in Singapore is expected to continue for the next few nights because of the wetter weather and the monsoon conditions in the first 2 weeks of this month.

Associate Professor Koh Tieh Yong from SUSS, a weather and climate scientist, said that the current cold conditions are influenced by La Nina, which is a natural climate phenomenon which brings about wetter weather and enhances the north east monsoon winds in Singapore.

The Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) said on 31 January that more thundery showers were to be expected in the first fortnight of February, as compared to the last fortnight of the month.

Professor Koh said that the cool temperature is likely to remain for one or more nights whether the rain persists or not, due to the arriving air having been pre-chilled over the South China Sea, by the evaporating rain.

The lowest recorded temperature on Pulau Ubin yesterday was 22.3 degrees celsius, at about 4.30am. With the highest temperature being 30.2 degrees celsius at Sentosa.

In comparison, the lowest recorded temperature for January was 22.5 degrees celsius on 20 January at Pasir Panjang, with the highest being 35.4 degrees celsius on 29 January at Newton.

ENTERTAINMENT & LIQUOR LICENSES REVOKED FOR 9 F&B OUTLETS

The Singapore Police Force said earlier today that the public entertainment and liquor licenses for 9 nightlife and F&B outlets have been revoked for breaching safe management measures “repeatedly and egregiously”.

Among the outlets are MZS Family Karaoke and H.O.M at Ming Arcade and The Idle at Infinite Studios at 21 Media Circle.

Steamov Steamboat Buffet Restaurant at Beach Road, Darts Legend at 29 Media Circle and Haru Bar at Central Mall have had their liquor licenses revoked.

The police said that the people running the establishments were found to have breached SMMs repeatedly.

The establishments were also issued with closure orders of between 10 to 30 days, as well as the possibility of fines and prosecution.

The police said:

“These breaches included the failure to minimise physical interactions between staff and customers, to ensure group sizes did not exceed the prevailing cap on social gatherings, to cease on-site sale and consumption of liquor after 10.30pm, and the provision of dice and card games within the permitted premises.

Given the repeated and egregious nature of these breaches, the police have taken action to revoke their public entertainment and liquor licences under the Public Entertainments Act 1958 and the Liquor Control (Supply and Consumption) Act 2015 respectively

The police have zero tolerance for irresponsible behaviour relating to the flouting of these measures and offenders will be dealt with firmly in accordance with the law.”
