1. Both Starhub and Singtel

Received a call from a lady claiming she is from the technical department and said that I am having issues with my wifi, she reported that I had higher consumption in the past week. 
 
When asked what is my subscriber identification she couldn’t answer and repeatedly answered twice she’s from the technical dept. Forcing her into answering me, that’s when she said she’s from Starhub and Singtel but none of those is my wifi subscriber, asked if I was Natasha (not my name) and so she hung up the phone. 

2. UNSOLICITED PHONE CALLERS

1. Incoming caller id shows various phone number (8*******, 6*******, 88******). One common sign: once I picked up the call, the caller on the other line takes a while to respond. As if they are not in local Singapore or there is a lagging issue.

2. Very professional fluent English speaking callers, identifying himself/herself “as SingTel technical department. Good afternoon. How are you today? Greetings. We detected high usage, hacking risk etc etc. Can you see if your router is blinking light etc? “

3. Once I turn on my recorder and asked the caller to repeat, they will hang up immediately!

4. The 1st recording I did was 27 Jan 2022 from 6******, the lady caller was slow to realise and the recording captured her voice. But she soon hung up the phone after a few seconds.

3. Internet Usage Again

The number called and told me they are Starhub. I asked for their employee Id, they gave me the number 2411. she said her name as well. The purpose of the call: She wanted to alert me that there are high volume of internet being used through my starhub internet and that i need to tell them about how many devices are connected to my router.

At this point, i stopped talking to them by telling them that they are suspicious and they ended the call.

I (20F) am occasionally flirted with by one of the supervisors of my job. He’s more than twice my age and married. He’s known at my work for being inappropriate and touchy. As far as I know, though, he’s never crossed the lines like this. I’ll normally just put my head down and ignore his comments but this time it went too far. He asked me to have S with him in exchange for paying me some money.

I reported this to management and now I regret saying anything.

Normally management will deal with issues within themselves. Now it’s being handled by HR and it’s become a corporate issue. My manager wants to speak to me about it tomorrow and I’m absolutely terrified. I didn’t want to take this as far as I have. This is giving me so much anxiety and I just wish it never happened to begin with.

Management asked me to keep it quiet and not tell anyone but they don’t know that I mentioned it to a few coworkers days before I said anything to them. My coworkers were the ones who told me how screwed up this was and convinced me to say something. I don’t know if my managers found out I mentioned it to people and I’m scared I’ll get in trouble for this. Workplace gossip is also huge so if a few people knew everyone will by the end of the week.

Overall I just wish I stayed quiet and said nothing. There’s no good that will come out of this. Either he just gets reprimanded and no more than a slap on the wrist, or I ruin a man’s life over a stupid interaction.

• You aren’t ruining anyone’s life. He’s ruining his own.If something isn’t done about this on a store level I’d take it to corporate HR. There seriously has to be some kind of policy in the statement of business ethics for the company stating that talk isn’t okay. And he had to have signed off on that in order to work there. You are nowhere near in the wrong. Take some deep breaths and go in there tomorrow and just tell the truth. You’ve got this.

• Come on. Don’t take responsibility for this guy facing the natural consequence of his own actions.
