A netizen shared a photo of a handicapped parking lot at what is allegedly from a new BTO housing project.
The handicapped lot didn’t have a ramp at the sides of the kerb, defeating its purpose for the disabled (ie wheelchair bound persons).
Netizens were understandably irked by the design.

Minister of Health Ong Ye Kung announced on his Facebook on 29 August that Singapore’s vaccination rate (for 2 doses) has crossed the 80% mark.
He shared that over 4,300 individuals who are homebound have received their jab administered by the home vaccination team.
Ong thanked the “over 200 volunteer doctors and nurses, as well as the SAF” who helped to meet the demand.
The government aims to complete all home vaccinations by the end of next month, with Ong adding that they are tripling the number of home vaccination teams to 33, up from 11.

A netizen shared how a man exposed his “you know what” while staring at her.
She tried to escape and got on her bicycle, to which the man then tried to force her down her bicycle.
Her leg then got hurt in the process and she screamed for help, at which point another passing cyclist saved her and called the police.
Here is the story.
“This man assaulted me & He tried to force me to the ground.
Happened at Bedok park.
I dont even know who he is. I was walking out of the restroom and when i turned around i saw a chinese 20 something year old man, he stared at me while exposing his you know and i got scared.
I started to get on my bicycle because i was scared and as i was cycling he forced me down my bicycle.
My right leg got hurt bad and luckily there was another cyclist where i was,
i screamed for help and the cyclist called the police.
If the cyclist wasnt there im not sure what would have happened.”

I love my boyfriend, but he has some weird hobbies that I can’t really take it.
As a man, he is always there for me and always treats me to the best food, when I’m sick he will take leave to take care of me. However, he has a weird way of punishing me
He would often find fault with me and says that I needed to get punished, He will then always squat over my head when I’m in bed and he will fart in my face. I cant escape as he is stronger and heavier than me.
He often does this to me, almost every day. He then asked me to taste the flavour and forces me to grade them.
Sometimes while doing it he will say “do you smell the truffle?”

As of 28 August 2021, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed and verified that there are 113 cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection and 8 imported cases.
389 cases are currently warded in hospital. Most are well and under observation. There are currently 16 cases of serious illness requiring oxygen supplementation, and 6 in critical condition in the intensive care unit (ICU).
Over the last 28 days, the percentage of unvaccinated who became severely ill or died is 9.2%, while that for the fully vaccinated is 1.2%.As of 27 August 2021, 79% of our population has completed their full regimen/ received two doses of COVID-19 vaccines, and 83% has received at least one dose.

Following the infamous assault video where 2 gangsters attacked a teenager at a void deck, a group of friends have taken to Facebook to share a parody video of the attack online.
In the original video, the camera man was heard saying “baju baju, friendship friendship”, with that very phrase spawning a slew of memes and videos online.
The parody video saw the men reenacting the assault with the catchphrase, “baju baju, friendship friendship”.

121 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Singapore today (28 Aug), with 113 cases being locally transmitted and eight being imported.
25 more cases were added into the Bugis Junction cluster, bringing the total number in that cluster to 176.
32 out of the remaining 88 local cases have already been placed in quarantine and are linked.
27 of the 88 are also linked but not in quarantine when their test result returned positive.
29 cases are unlinked and there are eight imported cases who were placed in isolation or stay home notice upon arrival.
Four of them were detected upon arrival while the other four developed illnesses while placed under isolation or stay home notice.
The country’s COVID-19 infection numbers now stand at 67,171 since the start of the pandemic.
MOH will update about the situation tonight with further details.

A chiobu selling niches at Nirvana Center Kuala Lumpur recently shared a story of her conversation with her grab driver on her way to work.
“I took Grab to my workplace at Nirvana Center this morning as I had a meeting with my client.
When I boarded, the Indian driver asked me if I was going to Nirvana 2 and I replied Yes.
During the journey, the Driver glanced at me through the rear view mirror and notice that I was looking out of the window with my tired eyes with my mask on.
He asked me “Miss, what do you do for a living?”
I replied that I am in the sales and service industry.
He said “Thats nice, you are so pretty there are surely many clients that want to employ your services.”
I said “Still ok la”, while looking at him through his rear view mirror.
He added on, “If there is a chance, I would like to be your customer as well”, while smiling and looking at me at the same time.
I felt awkward inside me, and kept quiet without replying him.
He notice that I was keeping quiet and started talking again “So which service industry are you in?”
I paused for a moment and slowly told him “I am in the funeral service industry”
He kept quiet for the rest of the journey and there was complete silence.”
