NETIZEN ACCUSE ONLINE NTUC LYING TO CUSTOMER

Sorry for what?!

Fairprice lied by selling stuff (Order No.: 24955815) that it does not carry in its stocks, tried twice to pass off instant oat as the item in the order by hoping that the customer cannot differentiate this from the instant rolled oat which was the original item in order, and then its customer service (Jas Sivalingam) just went silent when pressed to make the right delivery for the online order…

when I finally able to reach Andy Lee last night, I was gaslighted into believing that I was the one mistaken about my order; that I have ordered Instant Oat thinking Fairprice was selling Instant Rolled Oat online… good thing there are documents noting all touchpoint relating to this order that allowed me to know Fairprice is lying to its customer and member…

it was a nasty experience buying online from Fairprice! What really angers is the unethical practice of this Co-operative and the people behind it… disappointing!

FOREIGN WORKERS PART TIMING AT GEYLANG PEDDLING CONTRABANDS

Geylang Adventure Episode 1

Geyland the dark side of Singapore, from tasty food to adult entertainment joints.

One would expect the usual illegal activities in the area such as illegal gambling dens and contrabands cigarettes and freelance woman working in the area.

I was driving through to get some supper at Lorong 14. I decided to walk around the areas and take a look. A Vietnamese man approached me and asked if I would like some smokes while gesturing the action of smoking. I ignored him and went out.

I walked past the usual gambling area and another person asked me the same thing, out of curiosity I asked where is him from. He told me is from Bangladesh and chased me off angrily for not buying.

By the time I reached Lorong 16. Two china man asked me the same thing again.

I decided to look around and realized foreign workers working in the area and selling cigarettes are everywhere!!!

I wished the authorities can do something about this. It is not morally wrong to work part-time jobs but it is illegal and the job the part-time job itself is illegal.

FOOD STALL “WE DONT SELL CHEAP FOOD, NOTING THAT IS $3 or $4”

Went to this coffee shop at Blk 19A Dover Rise for dinner. First time going there so i went to this store and order fried rice. Next moment, the boss of this store told me ” we don’t sell fried rice; cheap one don’t sell; we don’t sell anything $3 or $4, go opposite if I look for cheap food.”

Must he really say that even if they don’t sell. Why can’t he put in a nicer way or he think I cannot afford…..feeling sad.

Looks like the fish head has gone to the “owner’s big head”.

HEARTLESS EMPLOYER “YOUR FAMILY DYING? THEN U QUIT LOH”

So my son is on life support and I tell my boss 48 hours before I am to work again that I will not be able to work until my son is off life support and this is what she tells me!

she should have took a leave of absence. the law only allows so many days off. If there is only a small amount of staff there only so much the employer can do … they need to hire someone to fill in her space,,, its tragic that her son is on life support,,,, if he doesn’t make it she will need a lot of time off to mourn..

if he survives she will need a lot of time off to get him back on her feet.. yes the employer should have handled it better …

CONSTRUCTION WORKER CHEATED! REACH SG SALARY DROP 4 TIMES!

EDIT: Full story here: https://esquiresg.com/features/recognising-human-trafficking/

This construction worker was initially told he would be paid $1600 but it was reduced to $452 when he arrived in Singapore. The employer insisted he sign a contract to agree to the reduction. Thankfully, he did not. Most workers are often too afraid of losing their jobs and would comply. At first, MOM dismissed his claim that he should be paid the promised amount when he sought assistance from them. After an appeal by migrant worker NGO HOME: Humanitarian Organisation for Migration Economics, it was accepted and he’s also been allowed to find a new employer.

But he is facing much difficulty looking for one as most prospective employers and agents would demand money in return for a job. He paid approximately 5k to recruiters and is already deep in debt.
If any of you out there is able to assist, do get in touch with HOME. MOM needs to investigate this employer for deceiving the worker about his wages as false declaration is an offence. Not sure if that’s happening. It’s a good thing thatLouis Ng will be raising this in parliament.
