SafeEntry will also be progressively rolled out to taxis from 12 May 2020 to better support contact tracing efforts for street-hail trips. Commuters should scan the SafeEntry QR codes deployed in taxis when taking street-hail trips.

Retail outlets where customers are unlikely to be in close proximity for a prolonged period of time, such as pharmacies, convenience stores and heartland provision shops, are encouraged, but not required, to implement SafeEntry for customers.

F&B outlets are not required to deploy SafeEntry for customers for now, as they are only open for delivery and/or takeaway. Retail and F&B outlets must still implement SafeEntry for employees as per all workplaces, and adhere strictly to the other safe management measures, e.g. safe distancing.

COVID-19 CAUSE BLOOD CLOTS WHICH LEADS TO STROKE AND AMPUTATION

A huge amount of evidence is painting a grim picture of how the coronavirus can wreck havoc from one end of the body to the other.

Everyone knows that the COVID-19 affects the respiratory system and targets the lungs. But studies and evidence has shown that the disease may also cause super-charged blood clotting that damages vital organs, including the kidneys, heart and brain.

The formation of these blood clots can be dangerous, as seen in autopsies where some people’s lungs were found to be full of hundreds of microclots, The Washington Post reported last month.

The New England Journal of Medicine recently published a case report on a small cluster of strokes in New York that consist of young, healthy people, who caught the virus but no known risk factors for stroke.

But pertaining to strokes, where a clot obstructs blood flow to the brain, appear to be just one way damage from clotting can play out in affected patients.

There are also reports of patients getting painful red inflammations of their feet which are caused by blood clots.

One patient, Canadian Broadway Star, Nick Cordero, suffered from 2 mini-strokes and had his leg amputated due to complications with the corona virus.

PLANT WITH LED IN CORRIDOR MISTAKEN FOR MARIJUANA BY NEIGHBOURS

Mr Diwana who lives at 590A Ang Mo Kio Street 51 was falsely accused by his neighbours for growing cannabis. The plant which was suspected was actually a lady’s fingers plant which was aided by an LED light to help the plant grow.

The leaves of the lady’s fingers plant is similiar to the leaves of the cannabis plant. And with the purple LED light, the neghbours became even more suspicious which led to the misunderstanding. Concerned neighbours called the police but the police confirm that this was only a misunderstanding.

Mr Diwana stated that : “Last week a policeman came and said that a neighbour suspected him of growing cannabis and called the police, so I had to explain to the police that I was growing lady’s fingers outside the house, not cannabis. “

The purple fluorescent lights are similar to those used in growing marijuana in their home, so it is believed that neighbors misunderstood the situation that he is growing marijuana before reporting it to the police.

Mr Diwana further explained that the leaves of the lady’s finger plant are actually very different from cannabis leaves, and if neighbors went directly to him, he would have explained it to them clearly.
