Good evening to you. I was onboard the train towards Joo Koon direction on 10 AUG 2017. I witnessed a disturbing incident. I saw the guy in the picture attempting to touch the thigh of the lady whom was sitting beside him. His hands was on the seats. I did not have full view at the beginning, as the train was quite crowded. When more passengers alighted at Tiong Bahru,
I got a better view and could see his fingers inching towards her and having contact with her thigh. However, the lady did not stand up, but only inched away. To prevent any word for word confrontation, which he could say he did not do anything, I quickly snap a picture of him in the act. Upon noticing that I was taking a picture of him, he immediately took off at Redhill station at approximately 10:24pm just before the train door closed.
I reported the incident to the control station at Queenstown, the control manager mentioned honestly that there was nothing much they could do.
I have sent the picture to the control manager and reported the incident. However, I still feel the need to post his picture on Facebook in hopes that people will be more aware of the man in the picture when they are travelling on public transport. It is evident when the picture is zoomed in, his finger is touching the lady’s thigh. Hope this picture would be of aid to the lady. Thank you SMRT for your kind attention.
“Shortest taxi trip ever, from Suntec 4 to Centennial Tower – 400 metre in 1 minute. Passenger too lazy to walk, is it?”
1 min earn almost 5 dollars is a bloody good deal Yet taxi drivers are complaining this and that blaming Uber and Grab. Isn’t this kind of trip the best?

Take a look at The Black Lotus and The Penguin Family from MONGOLIA: AFFINITY 缘 ART EXHIBITION
I am Evangeline (visually impaired). I find painting for the theme based on Mongolia challenging and intriguing as I have never been there before. However, I have created painting that will create wishes like inner peace, love and harmony. I hope to extend these wishes to all of the people, regardless of races, religion and colour.
My paintings are priced at $300 each of which 30% will go to NUSS and 70% to myself.
There’s no silent auction involved. Kindly refer to the links below to find out more details of the paintings.
Every National Day Rally speech provides an evaluation of Singapore’s achievements and failures in the past year and the roadmap for the year ahead.
In this book, the compilation of speeches delivered by Singapore’s Prime Ministers — Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, Mr. Goh Chok Tong and Mr. Lee Hsien Loong from 1966 to 2015 — chronicles the key political, social and economic changes that Singapore has experienced since Independence.

Starting June 2018, new homes are required to install smoke detectors in their homes when an updated Fire Code is released. Citizens, mainly newly-weds, who are looking to buy a new HDB or private estate will be the ones to bear the cost for the smoke detectors. It is known that the price of installation of the product will cost around $110 – $130.
These smoke detectors are battery-operated and they are designed in a way to alert citizens when they sense smoke in the vicinity. They are not connected to any emergency services (e.g. SCDF, SPF) should a detection occur.
The number of calls to SCDF over the last 5 years have been dropping gradually, From 4,702 fire calls in 2016, to 4,114 in 2016. That amount is the lowest since 1978.
