Just want to Complain and also to share a Bad experience as a #Lalamove Rider

Now Loan Shark will use #Lalamove apps for Harassment activities.
They will take order and ask rider to go to the pick up point and knock the door until his “Friend” open the door claiming that they need Rider to collect the item urgently for their work. (The order is COD).

As a Rider.. i had to follow instruction by customers as I did not sucpect anything.
But in the end CCTV capture my face and house owner will reported it to the Police with CCTV photo.

Police officer will come in short time, and Police Officer had to do their job as to question me. A long process that took almost an hour.
#Lalamove Customer as normal their office hour until 10pm.
And no CSO will attend to the rider issue problem after 10pm

Loan Shark used #Lalamove as a Free Service for Harassment Activities as we Rider unable to seek #lalamove CSO to report this issue and cancel the order. Rider will not get any payment for this job (C.O.D Job) as the loan shark will not cancel the order.

Please be aware if u are #Lalamove Rider taking Job after 10pm.

They will only give Postal Code without unit number for pick up location and contact via Whatsapp only.
When reach at Pick up point, they will give the unit number and give all kind if instruction and excuses as to make sure that Rider do what being Instructed.

18-year-old Brandon mandolang Yong Fu was caught by filming another male student with his mobile phone in the toilet.

He is an outstanding student with a scholarship and also listed as a student leader in the School.

However, since his crimes were exposed he has lost his scholarship.

The incident happened on the 2nd of May 2019, he felt the urge to pcc and went to the male toilet and start to surf the net for p*rn.

The victim went into the cubicle beside him and Brandon decided to film the man with his phone, he turned on the camera application on his phone and reached for the top of the cubicle to film the man.

After Brandon realised that he has been caught, he removed his phone and hide in the cubicle. The victim waited outside the toilet to confront Bradon. After waiting for 15mins the victim left.

The victim made a Police report later and Brandon was caught.

The case has been adjourned till the 24th of December. Will there be another probation case?

I’m posting my experience from lalamove as I see that it is still ongoing. To let others know that it is not as uncommon as you think. And be wary of such tactics. May I also add this happened in august and yet now at close to dec I can still see the exact same thing happening.

I took a courier job from lalamove
The guy called me using WhatsApp call say he wants me to get an important document from his business partner and appreciate if I rush cause he wants to sleep already..
so I rushed all the way down woodlands.

He said his partner never listen to the call and asked me to knock the door. which is logical as ppl may fall asleep from paperwork esp at 1 am. So I knocked and call his name. The said guy come to the door. i said I’m looking for the guy name. Then he started to continuously snap my photo and my hp photo which Idk wtf is going on.

Then he kept forcing me to hang up the call and kept saying that I’m abetting with ah long. So I told him that I’m with the courier lalamove and I’m suppose to get documents from you. I cannot hang up my call from my client.

He kept threatening police as I’m angry already since I have zero idea whats going on and I told him to just call police settle.

Then he asks me on loudspeaker then all vulgarities is targetted at the guy. And then owe $ pay $. Then end up no $ n even rush all the way to woodland at max speed. (legally ofc). Then I learnt of these ah long tactics.

After that, I brought up with lalamove as I worked for them sometime and had never had such cases plus there was no precaution told by them. So I asked them to put as notifications which I realized a few days later it has not been done.

So I kept chasing them to do it. Then he confessed to me that they can’t do it as it will make the delivery partners avoid cash order at midnight. My impression of them was that they are more worried about the delivery riders avoiding orders than the delivery riders being cheated by such tactics.

The police also told me that I was the third for that day and morning noon also have. But lalamove claimed that they did all after 12 am. Lalamove also does not compensate for their delivery partner if you were to face such an issue. So you waste your time and petrol money.
