HAIR SALON SOLD $4799 PACKAGE TO TREAT ‘WORMS’ AND DIRTY SCAB AT YISHUN

**EVERYONE PLEASE BEWARE of this particular hair saloon – NEW GEN studio*** They have 4 outlets in Singapore.

Few days ago, my dad went for a simple hair cut at NEW GEN studio – Chong pang outlet. From a $3 haircut to a ridiculous $4799 hair treatment package! Apparently the hairdresser noticed some dry scab with redness on my dad’s scalp and did a scalp scan which showed some worms on his scalp. My dad was so frightened by the sight of the worms, he then was being duped to paying such exorbitant amount for demodex hair treatments!

When my dad came home and broke this horrible news to us, we were furious! HELLO EXCUSE ME, this is a neighborhood saloon and they actually charge a freaking $4799 hair package to an elderly who is half balding??!!! The treatment made of gold isit??!! We simply could not comprehend it!

So we went to the saloon and confronted the hairstylist. Though the receipt stated non-refundable and non-exchangeable (which was not explained to my dad prior), we managed to receive a refund of $4500 after much drama. ($299 was still charged as treatment done for the day)

Today my dad went to see a dermatologist for his dry scab and the doctor stated clearly there were no worms on his scalp. In fact, the doctor was puzzled at the video of the scan done by the New Gen hairstylist, claiming it was impossible. He was treated with a corticosteroid jab, some steroid cream and moisturizer for home treatment.

We hope this post could raise some awareness on such atrocious scams. Please look out for your parents or grandparents because they love to target unsuspecting elderly! May these scammers rot with endless worms on their scalps!
