A netizen got curious as he did not get a single response after applying for over 100 jobs on Jobsbank.gov.sg. He doubts if Jobs Bank was even real.
Multiple netizens in the thread claim that Jobs Bank is just for show as that are some requirements and regulation involved that’s why they had to post there.
Can anyone verify how true is this?
After looking at it online we found the following article written by The Online Citizen
“We will expand the requirement to advertise jobs on the national Jobs Bank before EP (employment pass) application to cover more employers,” he said.
From Jul 1, companies with 10 or more employees wanting to employ foreigners for jobs paying less than $15,000 a month will need to advertise on the national Jobs Bank to seek out our local applicants first.
The job advertisements will have to be put up on the Jobs Bank website for at least 2 weeks. Only after the companies can’t get any local workers will they be allowed to apply for EPs for foreigners to work in their companies.

In another word, the companies that are posting on Jobs Bank is to fulfill the requirement for hiring foreign workers.
This does not appear to be a very good strategy to give more jobs to Singaporean’s. But of course, we appreciate the effort but let’s hope more can be done.
A netizen posted on Facebook about a man who attempted to “pick up” a girl from a childcare despite the not related to the girl.

**Neighbourhood Watch Announcement**
Two hours ago, this elderly man stepped into a child care in our neighborhood in Havelock Road to ask to pick up my friend’s daughter. He gave the school her name (which is a rather unique name), the girl came out, could not recognize him and started crying. He did not manage to pick her up.
My friend and her husband do not recognize this guy. A police report has been made. He is a suspected kidnapper. If this is a misunderstanding, may this guy step forward. If not, families with young children, please be vigilant.
Pls take note in future when u wanna use the taps in common areas such as food courts. I suppose the water is contaminated and it totally looks unsafe to use.
Wondering if the water pipes are linked for kitchen use too? Parents especially should take note before washing the little one’s utensils, pacifiers, etc..
Pari Dedap is a small bend road that is between Upper Changi and Bedok North Road. From the image above this seems to be quite a dark road at night as there are many corners.
The incident happened at night and the man was swiftly arrested the next day.
Good job to the police force for the swift arrest.

To the bros out there, be careful of this man Roy Tan Chi Keong.
My purpose is just to warn you all, of this Roy Tan Chi Keong before he causes any trouble to your families, in case he goes around asking for help to your wives to resolve his ‘sexuality issues.’
My family of me, my wife and my toddler girl just got back in the morning 7th December 2018 from a cruise trip.
We are doing minor unpacking and cleaning up, when I’m drinking a glass of water at my dining table, my wife’s phone beep, and these messages pop up in my face.
Bros, i don’t know about you guys but I went enraged. I took a photo of her phone screen and confronted her about these messages.
I knew the existence of this guy Roy Tan Chi Keong. He’s my wife’s ex boyfriend back then during polytechnic school days. They only kept in contact until now due to class gatherings etc. I think he is now working in NUS cos he has a nus email address.
My wife knew of my dislike for this guy. Which husband likes their wife’s ex bf? Not me, at least. She promises me that she will not meet him alone and have anything to do with him without informing me before we got married.
When I confronted her with her phone messages, she insisted there is nothing on going with him. She asked me if I trust her. Fine, I told her to unlock her phone, let me see their chat messages to prove her words. I then exported out her WhatsApp chat with that bastard.
The more I read, the more infuriated I get.
I realise that this morning when we are cabbing back home, this Roy Tan Chi Keong started messaging her literally behind my back in the cab.
He began innocently on irrelevant topics then started asking for my wife’s help in something personal. He then confided in her that he’s facing some sexuality issues that need her help and wants a hug. He then asked my wife if she is free during the day between 9-4pm and if we still have a maid at home.
This Roy Tan Chi Keong then ask my wife if he can try a few questions. This is what that Roy Tan Chi Keong wrote.
[7/12/18, 09:35:09] Roy Tan: You are the only one I have around that I still have feelings for.
[7/12/18, 09:35:26] Roy Tan: So can I explore sexuality issues with you
[7/12/18, 09:35:44] Roy Tan: Like can I hug you.
[7/12/18, 09:35:46] Roy Tan: Kiss you
Note: It’s at this point that I noticed the chat screen notifications and confronted my wife.
That Roy Tan Chi Keong unknowingly still continued.
[7/12/18, 09:43:00] Roy Tan: Opps. Did I scare you?
Feeling very pissed, I use my wife’s WhatsApp to message him wtf is he messaging my wife on this? Took down his number, messaged him, called him on my own line. He didn’t pick up my calls.
He called me later and apologies, saying that it is a misunderstanding. What misunderstanding can this be? I f*** him upside down and told him to get out of our lives and never to message or keep in contact with my wife ever again. I probably f*** him more vulgarities in that conversation alone than in my entire life. He kept apologising and then later fast hand fast leg unfriend his Facebook profile from my wife’s facebook. Really KNNBCCB to the max. I screenshot his Facebook profile in case he deletes it from panic.
He has a wife and 2 children; can’t he ask his wife to help with his “sexuality” issues? His wife and 2 children are innocent parties, just like my family. Is he not afraid of karma on him and his family from messing around with other people’s wives? I really feel for his wife and poor children, if she knew her husband send such messages to my wife S.
I’m just a simple guy making ends meet to feed my family and I don’t disturb anyone. I’m bloody pissed that this f****** s** of a b**** dare come disturb my family. Seriously KNNBCCB to the max. Sorry for the rant, hope you bros don’t go through what I am going through now.
Yet another smart punk tried to grab attention by forcing the bus seat off the last row of the bus.
The punk probably thought that being at the last role, no one would see him do it. But turns out his idiotic friend uploads the video on to Instagram and get exposed.
