# FOREIGN PHD STUDENT AT NTU CALLS SINGAPOREAN MEN ‘FRAGILE LITTLE FLOWERS INCAPABLE OF THE MOST BASIC TASKS’ AND SAYS FTs ARE NEEDED TO DO THE ‘DIRTY JOB’ OF ‘F**KING’ OUR WOMEN BECAUSE WE ‘AREN’T GONNA DO IT’ OURSELVES!
I have been told that my original post on Phillip Keane (a British/Australian national and currently a PhD student at NTU’s School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering) was too long. I apologize for that. This is a ‘to-the-point’ version and it is addressed to Phillip Keane who under the fake names ‘Kylo Kaene’, Kyle Kunst’ and ‘Joanna Tan’, made numerous insulting remarks about Singaporeans and Singapore on FB. This man has to be stopped before he creates another FB account under another fake name and resumes his vicious attacks on anyone who goes on FB to highlight a legitimate complaint especially those that concern hazards that affect the public.
Phillip Keane – I know you have read my original post. Three days after my post, you appeared to have deactivated your FB account (under the fake name ‘Kyle Kunst’). Phillip Keane I put it to you that you are a menace to society and I will do all I can to put a stop to your abusive activities on FB directed at Singaporeans.
Please feel free to deny that you (under the three assumed names) made the following remarks on FB.
i. That Singapore is a ‘nation of delicate little strawberries’.
ii. ‘No wonder Singaporean women go elsewhere to find “comfort”. ‘
iii. ‘Foreigners invade to take all the jobs and women.’
iv. ‘Anything else you want to add before I go fk my Singaporean girlfriend? I know… it’s a dirty job, but you guys aren’t gonna do it right? You need FT to do everything for you.’
v. That we ‘steal food like [we] steal every other aspect of culture’; our Laksa ‘taste like piss’ and ‘Malaysian Laksa is better.’
vi. ‘You’re Singaporean. You don’t get to talk about the comprehension of the English language. Singlish is garbage’.
vii. ‘Singapore men are fragile little flowers and are incapable of the most basic tasks. It is no wonder that the country relies so heavy on Bangladeshi workers to build their homes and Filipina maids to change the diapers of their adult employers. And it’s a good job that Singapore doesn’t have to rely on their armed forces. With conscripts such as [myself] among their ranks, it wouldn’t take much to reduce this nation to a cowering, weeping mess. Majulah!’ (Written by a ‘Joanna Tan’.)
viii. ‘Kick all the foreigners out and watch this country turn to shit. Sorry to break it to you, but your home grown skills are useless’.
ix. ‘That if an invading force wanted to take over Singapore… [they would be able] to invade the island within 20 minutes of realizing how incapable everybody is.’
x. ‘Blame anyone as long as you don’t accept responsibility for your own dumb actions. It’s the Singaporean way right? MALULAH! The world is laughing at you.’
xi. ‘1st world country. 3rd world mentality.’
The comments that you have made could very well be against the law and that is something you will have to contend with.

Hello, I am Nicolette and I was verbally harassed by Eden Ang in 2015. I kept mum because I was embarrassed and terrified that people wouldn’t believe me because he is a Social Media Influencer. But now, I’ve learnt that I should always stand up for what is right, regardless of the other party’s status or position.
I met Eden on a drama set and he asked if I was keen to act in his videos. We exchanged contact numbers via Facebook and it started out with a call from him, explaining how production works; nothing wrong there.
However, it progressed to messages like “You should learn how to sit properly, I can see your underwear that day” (referring to the day I met him on set), “You were wearing a beige underwear right?” “But I can see you shave” “So you like to be clean huh?”
He also knew I was a gymnast from my Facebook photos and told me to send photos of me in splits, to which I felt uncomfortable and told him “they are on Facebook.” He probably viewed my photos and said “I can see your pubic hair.”
He then offered me to go to his house to try out for a ‘role’ where I’m required to wear a mini skirt and g-string. When I told him that I do not have a g-string and have never done something like this before, he said “I can bring you to buy a g-string” and “teach you how to wear.” He also asked me to send photos of the skirts I have at home and I stupidly did, which he then commented “not short enough.”
At that point in time, I just wanted the disturbing conversation to end so I used my mother’s name to reject the ‘role’ he was offering. I was relieved when he stopped messaging after. Since I wasn’t going to expose him and keeping the conversation meant a constant reminder of my stupidity (this is a personal feeling), I deleted ALL messages.
Before anyone jumps into conclusion that I’m doing this for attention or fame, please let me explain that I’m sharing my story without any hard evidence because I do not want Eden Ang to continue harassing more girls, and also to give support to others who have very bravely opened up about their experiences. Thank you

The Police arrested two women aged 20 and 23, on 28 and 30 January 2018 respectively for misusing their boarding pass at the transit area of Changi Airport. Investigations revealed that, the 20-year-old had bought an air ticket to meet a Korean boy band, while the 23-year-old had used her air ticket to shop at the retail stores in the transit area. They both had no intention to depart Singapore.
In 2017, the Police have arrested 92 persons for the misuse of boarding passes.
The Police would like to remind all passengers that the transit areas of Changi Airport are gazetted as Protected Places and passengers who enter the transit areas with a boarding pass should only be there for the purpose of travelling to their next destinations. Those who misuse their boarding pass to enter into the transit areas, with no intention to proceed to their next destinations, are liable for an offence under the Protected Areas and Protected Places Act. The offender may be prosecuted in Court and shall be liable on conviction to a fine of $1,000 or to imprisonment for a term of 2 years or to both.

Our nation have always strive to be best at everything, from World’s Best Airport to World’s Most Boring City to be in. But with the high cost of living, is everything rosy on our roads?
An in-joke among Singaporeans back in the day would be that Malaysia roads are the worse due to the amount of potholes and roadkill which can be found along their highway. But has the tables turned? There has been reports around Singapore that the amount of potholes are increasing around our country.
We took a trip around Singapore and found that the condition of our road has indeed worsened. There has been potholes found along Punggol, Jurong, Tuas and certain areas in the central district to name a few. These would lead to danger for our motorists who are on 2 wheels in which they could fall down due to low visibility of the road should they be riding at night as well as those who are 4 wheels, which would cause unnecessary amount of money to repair dented bumpers or even damage to the suspension. What is more scary is that, most of these potholes still appear months after we last visited the areas.
Again, with the rising cost of living, should our roads be maintained better? Who can we blame for this issue and why are we even paying road tax if our roads are not taken care of? A motorcyclist cannot claim against an accident caused by a pothole but rather, the rider themselves would get points for failure of looking out to danger. Or do we blame those contractors who earned a contract with our government because they are the ‘cheapest’ quote they could get?
An old saying would be ‘Pay peanuts, get monkeys’. We hope this is not the case. We feel that our citizens would prefer a proactive approach rather than reactive. We would not have to inform them that there is such dangers ahead but rather, they would fix it before anyone could bring the matter up to them.
