“BRO ASK ME GO HOME CAUSE I PLAY POKEMON GO IN THAI DISCO”

It was new year eve and i just broke up with my gf not too long all I wanted to stay in for new year eve to just game and forget her. My “bros” keep pestering me to come out for countdown and not coop myself at home. But damn I thought we serious and things were going well.

But one day out of the blue she told me we she wanted to break up cos we didn’t seems to be going anywhere and all this was done over text! After that she just proceeded to block me on whatapps, facebook and all. Found out from her mutual friend later that her EX has return from the states and was wooing her back all this while and she told me this before that she broken up with him cos he had a long term job posting over there. Sucks to know all this while I was the rebound!!!

2017 will definitely be the most sucky year for me and all I wanted just numb myself till the next year. Much to my surprise, my bros came to under my blk and told me to get ready in 10mins to head out to be happy tonight and they told me if i don’t come down they would leave and they started shouting from down beneath. I relented got myself dress and went down.

To my dismay they actually chose thai disco!!! Not that i have anything against it, i just don’t like the atmosphere over there. Oh well beggers can’t be choosers can’t they? The standard SOP we ordered drinks and the girls came to talk to us but I wasn’t interested at all. So i whipped out my hp and started playing pokemon GO, ahh memories the game me and my ex had the most fun together cycling from spots to spots battling gym. And naming the pokemon cute and funny name. I was grinning like a idiot to myself yet on the other hand my heart hurt like hell.

It was at that moment my bro tapped my shoulder and told me with a smile eh bro you want to game go home lah! I just ignored him thinking he was high liao but the second time he stood up and walked to me saying i was an embarrassment by not entertaining the ladies . Blood started rushing to my head but i told myself to be cool about it and i said okay finished my drink and told a cab home. Where the bro code man I just feeling down is those girls more important than me??

YOUNG MAN ACT DRUNK AND REFUSED TO PAY FOR TAXI CLAIMING I DID NOT SEND HIM TO HIS DESTINATION!

Got a Chinese pax aged 23-25 at sentosa to Yishun sapphire.
Reaching destination and pax pretending to be drunk and only not willing to pay. And asked me to wait.
After talking for 5mins. I suggested we go to the police station. He firmly replied me let’s go. I have asked the condominium security officer the nearest police station.

At Yishun police station, I’m very disappointed with police assistance. Officer told me pax not willing to pay the taxi fares and nothing they can do except for me to log a police report.
Pax still took out his money and showed to the officers that he have the money but don’t want to pay the fare. Because I did not send him to his destination.

I thought taxi evading is a serious offence!!? If this pax can go scot-free.. I believe there are more and more ppl evading fares and drivers will have a tougher times with no security.
For my past experiences and friends experiences.. I have high trust for the police efficiency that they can really do something to help us drivers. But this incident.. I felt very disappointed in Police officers cause they only tell me I can only file a police report. Maybe times have changed and laws have change which I didn’t know….

Pax is intelligent. Midnight hours taking cab from sentosa to Yishun. Then not willing to pay the meter fares $43.50 . Ended at police station, still not willing to pay. From police station take a cab back home is less than $10. Good move ya

UMBELLA SHARING INITIATIVE IN SEMBAWANG : SHARELLA!

Many have benefitted from Sharella, Have you?
==========

Ofo, Obike and Mobike launched bike-sharing in Singapore. In #Sembawang, we have “sharella” – a social experiment of sharing an umbrella in #Gambas to bring back kampong spirit and cheers to our residents. We are extending sharella to more places in Sembawang GRC so more residents can benefit.

Only three steps to daily kindness: (1) borrow an umbrella from the roadside rack, (2) cross the road (share it with someone too!), and (3) return the umbrella after crossing. Every umbrella is a step closer to a gracious neighbourhood. You are also welcome to donate an umbrella!

NETIZEN CLAIMS NOTHING HAS BE DONE EVEN AFTER REPEATED CALL HAS TO MAKE TO FIXED THE FITTINGS

To whom it may concern

The florescent tube of the corridor light outside my unit has gone out and my wife has made a call to your office on Dec 4 2017, to get the light replaced. As per the lady who attended to the call, someone will be sent down to get it fixed.

Two weeks passed and nothing has been done, so my wife called again on Dec 21, and the same answer was given to her by the lady who took the call.

Till today, Dec 28, the issue is still not resolved, so I called your office and the lady who took the call(she told me she had been attending since our first call), told me that Mr Zhang Xin in charge of managing the electrician, so she has to check with him why the electrician wasn’t sent down to get this fixed, when he said it will be done.

Is this what we are paying conservancy charges for – public fittings broken and not attended to when residents lodged a report? It’s such a joke that we as residents, have to follow up more proactively than you guys in the public service. If you guys can’t even get this small issue fixed with timeliness, I wonder what’s going to happen if there are more serious building damages.

And if you guys hired this Mr Zhang Xin as your sub-contractor, he and his team, being so irresponsible, should be removed!

AFTER 3 YEARS IN NUS I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE STILL CHOOSE TO CHIT CHAT IN LIBRARY!

0

One thing i will never understand after 3 years in NUS is why do people chat in the library? Do they not know that even though you might be whispering or squeaking, it is still audible by 5 or more seats apart because of the relatively quiet surroundings?

I can understand if you are merely exchanging a few sentences with your friend but when u start having a discussion on scholarships, dinner to get or Korean dramas , that is just unacceptable. Almost all of you are whispering , it is obvious that you people are “considerate people. Was at the Science library today and unfortunately, there are quite a handful of people doing this.

I WENT TO LOOK FOR MY PROF FOR FEEDBACK BUT MOSTLY THE REPLY FOR 30 MINS WAS DUNNO MAYBE CAN?

0

I consulted this professor a few days ago to clarify some mid term test queries. His feedbacks broke the very definition of how constructive feedbacks ought to be. For a full 30 minutes of consultation, his responses were largely different elaborated ways of saying “Dunno, Maybe Can”. I am just pissed off because when I left his office,

I realized that was 30 minutes of my life I am never getting back. f-ing waste my time. I am still pissed off so I decided to draw it out as a comic artist. For anyone being tutored by this prof, I wish you best of luck…. and patience.

NUS MECHENG ALUMNI GRABHITCH GAVE 3 NUS UNDERGRADS A FREE LIFT BACK TO SCHOOL FROM THE AIRPORT!

Sent a friend off for exchange at the airport tonight.

Group of us decided to grabhitch/uberpool back to school, and we split ourselves into two cars. Semicentenarian angel comes humming along behind the wheel to pick up group 2 in his car, offers to drive over to group 1 and pick up the person who didn’t get his ride, and -guess what?- WAIVES THE FARE AT THE END OF IT ALL.

To the cool af old-timer NUS MechEng alumni driving GrabHitch who gave this random bunch of 3 nus undergrads a free lift back to school from the airport – you’ve just made our week 🙂

p.s. your grab username is pure win. we love it. <3
