ANOTHER SCAMMER GOT CAUGHT. TAKE MONEY NO DELIVER?

His impressive history goes way back to thedeluxemall. He was let off scotfree many times because he was underage. Went on to other platform to scam people including Carousell. Sell fake bags, take preorders. Obviously no bags were delivered. Claim to have a son. He must be God to defy genetics.

Police caught him in 2015 but again, fantastic law system let him out to roam free to continue scamming. All the way up till 2016.

Now that he is charged, he has the ability to hire a lawyer. Wow, where did the money come from? From scrubbing his backside? Or from other people’s hard earned money he scammed? You tell me.

Beware of dishonest JustGrab Drivers who try to make you pay more!

Dear SingaporeUncensored,

Hi, I booked a JUSTGRAB taxi going home Fixed Fare was $16. I sensed something was not right when I board the taxi and the driver switched on his meter but I just didn’t want to ask him and kena long lecture as I was tired from working whole day.

When we arrived at the destination, the taxi meter was $20 + $4.30 (Booking Fee). Then he chut pattern and said that I must pay the price as shown on the meter. So I tell the driver that he had accepted a “JustGrab” service where it is fixed fee, and the agreed price was $16.

He then shouted at me “this is GrabTaxi, you pay by meter!” I put my foot down and said I am only going to pay $16. We can either call Grab company or call the police. It was then he relented and took the money.

However, not all drivers are like that. Got once my fare was $12 but because I had a promo code I only needed to pay $7. When I paid and was about to alight from the taxi, the uncle very nicely said too much too much and returned me the $7.

Just sharing so that consumers are aware that some dishonest drivers will try to chut pattern and scam u.

TAXI KNEW METER IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN GRAB. HE FORCE THE PASSENGER TO PAY THE HIGHER FARE

Hi, I booked a just JUSTGRAB this morning and had gotten a taxi to work. Fixed Fare was $14. When the driver picked me up, I noticed something peculiar when he switched on the meter with booking fee, thinking this was SOP. I kept quiet.

When we arrived at the destination, the taxi meter was $18 + $4.30 (Booking Fee). We didnt passed any ERP. He requested I paid using the meter fare. To my shock, I still managed to calm my self down and politely tell the driver that he had accepted a “JustGrab” service where it is fixed fee, even his app had shown $14.

He then shouted at me “this is GrabTaxi, you pay by meter!” I showed him the app again and offering to call grab to mediate, he then hesitated and accepted the fare.

This is crazy. We now go back to the days where pax and driver argue over fares beyond meter. Just for passengers awareness in case taxi drivers try to beat the system.
