DRIVER HIGH ON DRUGS ARRESTED AT WOODLANDS CHECKPOINT

A 36 year old man was arrested on Friday morning after he drove his lorry into a motorcycle lane at Woodlands Checkpoint, damaging some fixtures there. The lorry driver was later arrested for drug consumption, ICA have confirmed.

The man had driven his vehicle into the lane, at the departure zone of Woodlands Checkpoint, at about 5 am. He damaged a metal fence and displaced a signboard, but no injuries were reported. The lorry was finally removed at about 10.50am.

The man have been handed over to the CNB for further investigations. ICA maintained that errant drivers pose dangers not only to themselves but to other road users too, and the ICA and the Police takes a serious view on such drivers and do not condone their irresponsible road behaviour.

RUDE CHILDCARE VICE PRINCIPAL @ YISHUN. YISHUN AGAIN!

Would like to share my story about a rude vice principal at a childcare centre. I believe all parents will love to enrol their kids to a nearer childcare but not many are lucky to have a slot nearer to home. Hence, parents got no choice to enrol their kids further away until theres slot vacancy at a nearer childcare.

So I tried to withdraw my kid from the current childcare when I got a vacancy from another sch and got nasty treatment by the vice principal.

Me to Principal: I would like to withdraw my girl as theres a slot at a nearer school but the CSO told me its 2 mths notice. Any way I can appeal to 1 mth?
Principal: No.
Me: Any person I can talk to?
Principal: No. our policy is 2 mths. Stated in the handbook.
Me: Ya I understand but can be flexible?
Principal: No.

I then went out of the office, called the HQ and asked. (The sch had given me wrong info before previously) the HQ said accordance to the handbook is 1 mth. She even check with Operations side and said should be 1 mth.

I went back to the office and told the Principal what the HQ pple said. I was then sitting in her room and She gave me a frustrating face and asked me to sit outside. She purposely talk so loudly to let me hear.

“I told this parent can’t already. She keep insist is 1 month. (I insist cos the HQ told me so) She last minute want to withdraw. I told her NO already. The policy should be bla bla bla. She is in my ofc now. Can’t withdraw.”

The tone is so bad that she sarcastically said to the person on the phone “she is here beside me now.” I believe the other person on the line asked her then how come she talk like that. Then she answered “ my ofc is just so small”.
Well.. I’m not here to listen to u proving urself right. I said I understand the policy but can I appeal?

In the end, the cluster head spoke to me, asked me to write a letter for appeal and submit on monday. Alright. Then the principal say sarcastically again so is no promise ah… i only ask to appeal.. but u did nothing and brush me off keep saying no. I called the HQ cos last time also gave me wrong info. She still can reply me I got call the cluster head for u what. No! Is only after I called HQ then she not happy and call to verify.

Last time they gave me the wrong info, resulting I keep paying the wrong amt for 2 mths. Until I check with ECDA then they refund me the money. If i nvr check, i will still be paying more than what I have to and got cheated by them. Even the HQ doesn’t know the answer which I have to call another sch for answer, i have to check to check with ecda then I can get the correct answer. How to trust the school like this?

Seriously, the vice principal is very unprofessional to talk like that to a parent. Just because the school can’t hit quote? Or because u do not want to ruin reputation because theres withdrawal? I don’t know why but its very obvious to prove urself right? So the other cc can’t wait for 2 mths and this current cant withdraw 1 mth.. then how?

All parents want a nearer school isnt it? How can a vp with this attitude to lead the team? I also seen how attitude she talked to her staff. The principal before her is so good that she can be seen walking around the class to see the kids and teachers with a smile. But this current vp, I never seen her walk around, everytime in the office, dont smile. A childcare centre should be a happy place for everyone. But this vp makes the place so tense up. I can give names of mummies who mentioned this vp is rude to them as well. The vp represents the sch. Even is policy, u can talk nicely.

JETSTAR C**K UP. BUY TICKET REACH AIRPORT THEN JETSTAR SAY NO SUCH FLIGHT

Jetstar Asia we have a scheduled flight at 6am today. We were here since 4am and airport staff informed us there is NO SCHEDULED FLIGHT from jetstar. I will share my booking details here.

No notification from jetstar (obviously) and we r clueless why there is no flight. we are here with a group of others and some have connecting flights to catch too.

So everyone took to their phones and called jetstar hotline. However, I am amazed that the customer service officer told us and I quote “we cannot help you”

Jetstar didn’t schedule a flight we booked n paid…N they cannot help us. I don’t know if I should laugh or cry.

As I am writing this, we are still trying to get some kind of assistance from jetstar and they r really not being helpful. It has been 2 hours…The call centre pushes us to the counter and the counter pushes us back to the call centre.

Jetstar, I know u r budget….I didn’t expect u to be budget till u don’t even send a plane that was meant to come.

I am writing this here to share this with everyone for awareness. N while doing so, we r still stranded here at the airport, jetstar is not rebooking us, they r saying they cannot help us…Which is shocking because jetstar didn’t schedule our flight n no two hoots is given about it.

All vehicles go thru annual vehicle inspection,there are too many car got burn ,what going on,are these vehicles inspected properly by technician or we using foreign technician doing the checking.

Private hire driver run her car over foot of motorist involved in accident @ Yishun.

In the wake of getting engaged with a minor auto collision, this private-contract auto driver crawled her car forward to such an extent that one of its front tires run over the foot of the driver that caused the accident.

That driver, Jazz Tan, had been driving his auto along the furthest right path of Yishun Ring Road when the PHV driver, Quek Chin Fern, all of a sudden swerved her auto into his path from the left and into his auto.

The two drivers at that point ceased along the street close to the roadside of Yishun Junior College. Quek declined to give Tan her id card when asked for, just revealing her handphone number.

Tan at that point said he would call the police. That is when Quek say she needed to be rushing off to elsewhere.

Tan remained behind her car, a dark Toyota Isis, to keep her from driving off. Instead of halting the car, Quek kept it in reverse until the point when it came into contact with Tan.

Tan at that point moved to the front of her auto, again to keep her from driving off. Quek crawled her auto forward this time until the point when the front guard of her auto came into contact with Tan.

She kept doing that for a separation of around 50m, until the point that Tan ventured aside he felt an painful sensation in his left knee and found that his left shoe was stuck under the front right tire on Quek’s auto.

When he moved to one side, Quek drove off. The episode occurred at around 8.42pm on 17 Aug, 2015.

POOR DROOLING CAT NEEDS HELP FOR VET

Hello guys! The kitty in the picture is not eating a strawberry lollipop. 😞

This is “Drippy” (‘cos her saliva keep dripping lol). She was first found by Masturah around Blk 203 Ang Mo Kio Ave 3 on the night of 24 September, drooling with tints of pink and straining to defecate. Her condition has been turned away by a few shelters we’ve contacted due to limited space in the shelters.

Currently, Drippy under foster care by one of the area’s stray feeders and is due for her veterinary appointment either today or tomorrow (vet’s availability). She is still drooling, struggling to eat though she is able to take in some fluid from cat food pouches, and has trouble defecating.

We’re unable to estimate the medical bills until she’s seen the vet, and are thus looking for any form of sponsors or donors.

Fluffosaurus (my registered pet supplies store) will also be participating in the raising of funds. Items can be bought at RRP and profits (after costs) will be used for Drippy’s care.
