BREAD TALK STEAMCAKE TURNED MOLDY EVEN BEFORE EXPIRY DATE!!!

I love Breadtalk steam cake so yesterday (22Aug2017) from City Square Mall outlet I bought a pack which comes with 3 pieces of different flavors individually packed nicely arranged side by side in another bigger clear plastic bag which was printed BEST BEFORE 23Aug2017

So when i reached home open the external packing pass the orange flavor cake to my elderly father who is 84 year old, then went to make my coffee getting ready to eat. Before i tear the individual packaging i saw black spots on the yellow steam cake initially thought was those red bean paste but remembered these doesn’t come with fillings at all! Yucks!!!
Checked on another piece the yam flavor and saw it has yellow spot the 3rd piece was already eaten up by my  father cause he didnt check anyway his eyesight wasn’t that good either! OMG hopefully he dont fall sick!
I am going to ban Breadtalk and had shared on my FB to warn friends not to buy or at least check all pre-pack food before consumption even though it is before its expiry date(s).
Then I do a search on internet and found someone has post the same issue.

HELPER WHO DONT SPEAK ENGLISH WENT MISSING IN NORTHPOINT. SERVICE COUNTER INSIST TO PAGE ENGLISH.

This happened at Northpoint Shopping centre, 22/8/2017.

I couldn’t find my Indonesian helper, who cannot understand English, for about an hour already.

I went to customer service and there were a few staff. I asked them to help me page for my non speaking English domestic helper.

This was the conversation between myself and a staff, whom I think is a Malay (there were Malay staff)

Me: can you help me to page for my maid in Malay language because she
doesn’t understand English.

Staff(S): No, we have to page in English as it’s our regulation.

Me: please help me to say it in Malay language as my helper really cannot understand English.

S: No, we cannot.

Me: alright then, can you help me to page her in English?

S: paging………. please PROCEED …… etc

Me: can you please change the word proceed to “come” instead as my helper really cannot understand this word. She should be able to understand “come”

S: NO, cannot. It’s the company procedure. We cannot change it.
(I could see the side glare that her colleagues and herself were giving me. As if I am a trouble maker).

Finally, I told them I wanted to meet the Manager after my repeated request were REJECTED.

Fortunately, they came and went extra mile by deploying all security personnel at each level to look out for my helper and they finally they located her.

I was impressed with the higher management efficiency.

However, the front line staff is not flexible and rigid with attitude problem. Imagine I was already so worried and asking for help and there she was, rejecting my request to page in Malay language.

COLOMBIAN TOURIST JAILED FOR HOUSE BREAKING IN SINGAPORE

Four Colombians, who were here on tourist visas, have been sentenced to one year’s jail each for breaking into three houses and stealing a total of $2,000 from the houses. The four came to Singapore with the intention of house breaking in Private estates and looting valuable belongings.

The four, who arrived in Singapore on 2 May this year, have been named as Puentes Entralgo Yuli Caterine, her husband Gonzales Gonzales Alvaro and their friends Ordonez Saenz Jose Andres and Sandoval Rivera Edgar Alberto. The four of them had rented a Mercedes as their stake out car, and decided to hit their target, a home on Muswell Hill at Braddell. They went out empty handed, however, as they failed to find any cash or valuable belongings, and realised there was a CCTV in the house.

The four were arrested the next day, and were found to have bus tickets to Malaysia on them. Their total haul was three houses broken into, with the other two being in Chancery Lane and Jalan Eunos, and they only managed to steal three wristwatches, cash of S$2,000 and a precious gen stone.

COMFORT COLLABORATING WITH UBER? WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO FARES??!?!?

Breaking news! ComfortDelGro has announced that it is actually in talks to form a “strategic alliance” with Uber. The taxi company is looking to collaborate with Uber to manage its fleets and book software solutions.

They have just signed papers to start discussions and nothing is affirmative yet.

If given the green light, commuters will be able to book their ComfortDelGro taxis via the Uber app. Hopefully, this solution will sustain the taxi company and maintain its role as a transport service provider in Singapore.

Taxi drivers must be going up in arms about this. If you cannot beat them, join them? Does it work like that?

MRT FAILS ARE LIKE A DAILY AGENDA. TODAY YEW TEE TO JURONG DELAYED

In news that surprised no one, commuters on the North South line experienced delays again this morning during rush hour. At 7.32am, SMRT tweeted that commuters should add 15 minutes’ additional train travel time from Yew Tee to Jurong East. This was due to a track fault “not linked to the new signalling project”, the tweet said.

However, most passengers said that the waiting time was far longer than what SMRT tweeted, with one commuter even saying that she was stuck on a MRT train at Choa Chu Kang station for 40 minutes. Another commuter said he took 40 minutes to travel from Yew Tee to Jurong East, which is just four stations apart.

At 8.13am, SMRT revised the estimated additional travel time from Yew Tee to Jurong East to 10 minutes, and at 8.53am, it said that the train service was running normally again.

WOMAN REPORT SAF REGULAR FOR DOING GRAB HITCH. GETS SHAMED. HAHA

A snitch who reported a Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) regular for moonlighting when he used the carpooling app, GrabHitch, has become the subject of ridicule after a netizen brought this case to light last night.

According to an image that is circulating online, the SAF regular had used GrabHitch to ferry a passenger, Ms Danielle Goh, to her home on 15 December 2016. The driver accepted $3.50 for the hitch ride. A day later on 16 Decemnber, the MINDEF Feedback Unit received an email informing them that the regular was moonlighting as a GrabHitch driver and commenced investigations into the matter.

The regular was eventually convicted of moonlighting and fined $2,000 in lieu of 2 weeks detention.

Singaporean netizens were quick to jump to the defense of the regular serviceman, who many felt had done nothing wrong. Confused netizens wondered if GrabHitch was now off limits for all drivers who had full time jobs and whose companies do not allow moonlighting.

An overwhelming majority also criticized Ms Goh for acting dishonorably by taking the ride and stabbing her driver in the back.
