Two videos have been posted by netizens that allegedly claimed that the pork floss served in Thai street food stores is mixed with cotton floss to reduce the cost.
Initially, the video showed a man opening up a sandwich and claimed that the outside parts of the sandwich were laced with real pork floss and the rest of it hidden in the sandwich made with chicken/pork flavoured cotton.
It is unclear if the man’s claim is true but one thing is for sure. There is at least two such videos circulation in Thailand that are making such claims.
It is never wrong to be safe than sorry. Many street vendors are selling without a proper F&B license.Take a closer look before you eat.
I would like to bring to all of your attention that this incident happened on 14 June 2017 at about 1830 hours at Simon Road along Upper Serangoon Road.
Victim is my father aged 67. He’s a full time Grab driver and also a breadwinner to support the family.
The commotion happened that while my dad is waiting for the available lot in front of him along the side road, his vehicle was stationary ‘NOT’ blocking any accessing vehicle, happened that there’s a car was coming out of the lot, the driver wasn’t able to make his way out of the lot. Instead he got out of his car & marched towards my dad’s car and bang his door demanding him to get out and/or rather to move away his stationary car – Indeed my dad’s car wasn’t blocking his way at all.
Without saying much the assailant start to rain his fist at my dad’s face/head. As he was trapped in his vehicle he couldn’t open the door. He couldn’t avoid but wanted to distract his assailant therefore his left hand happened to find and took a air-freshener can which he thought of spraying at him. Unfortunately the assailant managed to grab the air-refreshener and he used it to hit against my dad’s face/head causing him a deep laceration cut on his forehead and bruises. Only after my dad start to bleed the assailant stop & walked back to his car. Mr. Lee then called the police for assistance.
As mentioned the assailant wanted to drive off but my dad managed to reverse his car to block the assailant’s way, at that point he is still bleeding badly and awaiting for the ambulance to arrive.
I need to highlight the fact that he’s an old elderly small skinny built man with previously had a long surgery operation done on his back, and the assailant is somehow in his mid 30s chinese with big built, how can we tolerate such vicious and indignation act, instead of we should help and respect the elderly as they are all our pioneer folks to be respected.
My dad was conveyed to TTSH on 14 June’17 evening about 1715 hours. He’s still being under observation by the attending doctor.

I need to emphasize the fact that the assailant is a heavily tattooed person neither do I want or wish to comment much and discriminate against his appearance but his actions cannot be forgiven nor acceptable.
On a separate note, it’s been 3 days and the assailant had yet to make any restitution of his actions to even pay the victim any visits nor comment of the victim’s recovery as the assailant is somehow not showing any remorsed by his actions.
As we did not manage to capture the face of the assailant or his particulars, therefore we seek all our friends here to share this post and hope that we are able to trace him.

So as everyone know that now Club L.A. is already closed down. I believe all of the staffs were really unfortunate as this so called ‘Boss’ went MIA without giving out salary to the staffs. I tried to contact him and only once he reply and asking me to lodge him to MOM and asking me to just upload his photo and telling the SG nightlife industry about his great deed thru FB. I’m here granting your wish cos you only worth these few thousands dollars.

It happened when i wasn’t home and when i came back 2 days later, my mum told me the movers already collected the sofa but NO PAYMENT HAVE STILL BEEN MADE TILL TODAY.. since then i contacted her using the same account but did not reply but when i created a new acc and pretend I wanted to buy an oven she’s selling she replied me instantly.
She actually gave me a fake address but coincidentally one of my friend is her neighbour so i manage to find her house. So i went to her house pretending that i was purchasing her oven. When i reach there i gave my greeting nicely, her daughter open the door, i then asked her if her mom was home and if there was a red sofa in her house, she claimed that the sofa wasnt inside and that no one was home. I then asked if i could enter to check.. I sensed something suspicious when i was talking to the daughter as she keeps looking inside the house while talking to me then i called up the police.
Police arrived shortly and the officer told me that she also called the police saying that me and my friends are loitering outside her house.. as soon as the police got permission to enter the house, the mum, daughter and brother was seen in the house. The police told me that there is a similar sofa in the house but she claims that its hers since long ago and that she threw mine as seen in the photo but kept the cushion and cover set and bare in mind TILL NOW NO PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE.
