64-year-old Muhammad Resat Ahmad steals earth cables from the Golden Landmark Shopping Centre back in 2006 to sell. The crime was only discovered last year. After investigation’s and going through the court motion, he will be sentenced on 7 April 2017.

The 64-year-old is a worked as a technician in Golden Landmark for over 20 years. During this period of time, there were a few occasions of him and a colleague stealing the wires from the ceiling. The copper’s in the cables was sold for $6000.

Resat may face 3 to 4 months jail.

Family and friends would know that Im afraid of dogs.. I dont hate them.. just simply afraid.

So why would I spend time to write about dogs? Because my heart goes out to Minnie.. and future innocent dogs out there in the hands of @fattypaws!

Lately a fren of mine got a puppy from Fatty Paws, a mini pomeranian . She’s so tiny and has such a adorable face, she’s simply cuteness overload!

My fren named her Minnie.. and to her knowledge, she’s only 2 months old.

Getting straight to my objective of this post is..
About a week later, Minnie’s pood was whitish with some blood.. my fren got worried and called Fatty Paws, who in turn told her NOT to bring Minnie to see a vet, citing it’s normal because of the deworm process and to wait for a few days first. If not, bring Minnie back to them instead. But my fren wanted to at least know what’s wrong with Minnie.. so she brought Minnie to a nearby vet to have a check. Here’s the 1st surprise… Vet asked for Minnie’s actual birth date, and the date that Fatty Paws eventually gave my fren, Minnie is actually less than 2 months old!!!! First sign of Dishonesty!

2nd surprise… Minnie had parvo virus. A virus that we are not familiar with. Though Vet said it’s common among dogs but as Minnie is still very young, her immune system is still weak and may not survive it. Upon searching for more info online, we found out that canine parvovirus is a HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS virus that can affect all dogs, but unvaccinated dogs and puppies younger than four months old are the most at risk. So can you imagine how many dogs may be also infected by this deadly virus in Fatty Paws and yet they are still selling them?! Second sign of Dishonesty!

CAUTION: To those that bring their dogs for grooming or purchase your dogs recently from Fatty paws, you may want to monitor your dogs closely for any Parvovirus symptoms.

Fatty Paws took back Minnie and told my fren that he will treat her but refuse to disclose the vet he is bringing her n didn’t allow her to visit Minnie. Two days later, he simply declared that Minnie cannot make it and my fren can get another puppy but she refused because honestly, you do not know how many puppies that they have are infected! We are also very concerned what happened to Minnie???? A Parvo treatment can cost thousands of dollars depending on individual puppies (info from web) We cant help but wonder if Fatty Paws did even get Minnie the treatments she needs before declaring that she cant make it 2 days later! Fatty Paws actions were seriously suspicious!

And 3rd surprise, we chanced upon a FB post, though dated in 2014, apparently someone also reported Fatty Paws for selling poor health puppy! And AVA was aware of it too!

3 years now.. it seems like Fatty Paws is still selling poor health puppy and also lying about the puppy’s age all in the name of $$$$$!!!! Why are they still in business?!

Im utterly disgusted with Fatty Paws! As a pet shop and supposedly dog lovers (if not why open a pet shop?), Fatty Paws actually have such low regards and love for dogs & their well-being! Clearly it’s just a dollar and cents for them!

How can we trust them? Is this their meaning of “high-quality, selective, best, choice, premium, exclusive” as stated on their FB page??

I was stress about army life, towards the end of my national service in 2004, I had a mental breakdown.

I went to see MO. He refer me to NUH and then to TTSH. Both hospital diagnosed me as mental ill. TTSH doctors even wrote that my mental illness was severe.

Back to camp, I was still a combatant, armed with M16. My parent decided to seek help from Member of Parliament. The reply was that my camp wont worsen my condition and after 2 weeks, I will be released from official duty. Shouldn’t it be immediate? Is there any trained phycologists in camp?

After this 2 weeks, I was basically doing nothing but hiding in the bunk and clearing leave before I ORD. I had cleared my NS liability like the rest of my peers without early release.

After that, I still received notice to go for IPPT and reservice. I went back camp as civilian to visit my MO, explaining that I cant go back due to my illness. However, my medical status was always pending. I will need to visited them many times to defer. I am sick of revealing my condition and privacy to different MO and medic. All the MO that I visited, promised me that I wont need to come back. In the end, I still received the notice.

In 2013, I received another call up. Out of impulse, I rushed to the police station to challenge for an arrest as I do not wish to go back. My mum rushed to the station to calm me down.

Finally, I do not need to go back for reservice.

There is no compensation for all the mental damage as Mindef claim my illness is genetic. If it was genetic, then why enlisted me as combatant? Even if it is genetic, does they had the right to pour salt on my wound?

Why when the doctor describe me as severely ill, I was still not given Att C?

Why take so long to downgrade my PES?

What help had been given to mental ill serviceman?

Mindef just avoid my questions.

Just broke up with my boyfriend of 5 years. He is my first, and my last. I think I’m going to remain single the rest of my life. Life is so much more peaceful that way. Guy is crazy. His mother openly disrespects me and he expects me to live under the same roof with that woman. I have been studying hard to be able to afford to migrate out of here and be far away from his troublesome family. When I suggest buying a house of our own to start a family, he claims I have a typical Singaporean mentality and I’ll never be happy.

Why would I want to live under the same roof with his mother knowing my life will be hell daily. And what’s wrong in buying our own house? Seems like he wants to hide under his mother’s skirt forever. I even suggested at the very least we perhaps could buy our own house and live nearby both our parents. He doesn’t like the idea. He expects me to sit around at home and be a housewife and slave off for his family and him. What’s the point of my degree. I had dreams and aspirations.

Nowadays, he uses vulgarities on me in every single sentence. He then blames it on his smoking addiction. I felt it was about time for me to walk out of the relationship. I’ll never be happy. First it was his family who disrespects me, now he’s openly disrespecting me as well. Luckily it’s not too late. Not like I am engaged or married or whatever. Life is too short to give up on your dreams and aspirations for someone else. I’m heartbroken, yes. But more than anything I am angry.

Why bother doing my degree if I’m going to sit around at home looking after his parents all day. If they were nice people, that’ll be a different story. But they’re not worth my time nor energy. My fellow women, give respect where it’s reciprocated. Walk away from someone who doesn’t care about your feelings. It’s better to be alone than be with the wrong person.

Too bad I won’t get back the past 5 years.
