Earlier this year Changi Airport suspended Terminal 2 for renovations and cost-cutting due to the pandemic, Terminal 4 will also join be suspended.
All operations in Terminal 4 will be suspended and consolidated to other terminals to optimise resources.
Changi Airport Group said:
“Changi Airport’s terminal operations will be consolidated further to optimise resources in tandem with the sharp decline in flight movements because of the global Covid-19 pandemic.
“This move will enable CAG and its airport partners to continue to save on running costs such as utilities and cleaning.”
Airlines that used to operate in Terminal 4 will be shifted to Terminal 1 or 3.
Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan posted an update earlier today
“From May 16, we will also suspend the operation of T4, to further consolidate airport operations. Cathay Pacific has already shifted to T1.
So too, will Korean Air. These are trying times for aviation and the Changi community. “
