Following the Taliban’s takeover of Kabul, Afghanistan’s international airport was besieged by desperate Afghans attempting to flee Taliban control, resulting in numerous deaths.

According to a foreign diplomat monitoring evacuation aircraft out of the city, US marines fired bullets, while other Afghans died by hanging to the wheels of planes taking off.
At least five persons are said to have perished as a result of the incident.
Shocking footage from Kabul Airport shows several Afghans chasing down a US Air Force plane as it takes off, with some reportedly falling to their death while clinging to the plane.
