The elderly are a vulnerable group of people and sometimes accidents might happened when they are alone at home and some might even be concerned that their death at home would go unnoticed for several days.
An elderly man passed away and it went unnoticed for days in Boon Lay.
How the body was found:
According to Shin Min Daily News(SMDN), The deceased, 79-year-old Lin Huiquan lived in Block 214, Boon Lay Place.
Mr Deng (54 years old, baker), a tenant who lives with him, came home after getting off work at 7 pm on Saturday (August 13), when he opened the door he noticed a foul smell coming out of the unit.
Mr. Deng told SMDN that he felt something had gone wrong, so he immediately called the police. “After the old landlord returned to the master room three days ago, he never saw him go out again.”
The Scene
It is reported that after the police came to investigate, at about 11PM in the evening, a man came to the unit and carried a body out of the unit.
Mr Deng said that when he went out to work on Saturday morning, he didn’t notice the smell, and he was shocked when he came home at night, reported SMDN.
According to the photos, the master room where the deceased lived was poorly furnished, with a single bed mattress lying on the ground near the window. After the incident, there was a large pool of blood on the mattress and the floor next to it. It is believed that the deceased was lying there.
In response to inquiries, a police spokesperson stated that a report of an unnatural death had been received.
Medics pronounced a 79-year-old man dead at the spot after discovering him unresponsive.
Investigations are ongoing.
