According to a Media Release, a 50-year-old father was jailed yesterday for sexually assaulting his biological daughter. He was drunk and forced his daughter to perform oral on him.
He was sentenced to 10 years and 4 months in jail for the crime. The additional 4 months is given in lieu of caning as he is 50-years-old.
How did it happen?
In 2016, the victim accompanied her father for a drink at a void deck. The victim had one can of beer and the father drank two to three cans of beer and became drunk.
After they went home, the daughter decided to sleep on the sofa bed as she did not want to wake up her mother, her father join in and slept on the sofa bed. The father later slipped his hand under the victim’s T-shirt and started touching her.
The daughter moves away and told her father to stay away from her, the father responded by using force on her and tried to give her a kiss. He also told the victim to not make any noise during the assault.
After grabbing hold of the daughter, he slipped his hands into the victim’s lower region.
Daughter fears that she might be rape
The man removed his shorts and exposed his kkbto the victim, he then told her to perform oral sex on him.
Although the victim tried to stop, the father continued to force her to do it by holding her down.
The daughter kept quiet after the incident: fear of divorce
In 2017, the father had a dispute with the family and used a knife to threaten his daughter. After the authorities were alerted, She was brought to a welfare home by MSF for safety.
The father also warned her to not speak of the sexual assault incident to the child protection officer.
At the welfare home, she met other victims of sexual assault and she finally spoke on the 21 Jan 2018 and told her mother about the incident.
