Stopped contacting my secondary school friends and… kinda miss them.
I stopped contacting my secondary school best friends (on whatsapp & hangouts etc) because one of the guy is currently dating or gonna marry the lady I had a fling with for a period of time.
The guy met the current girlfriend on CMB, while I had few years of fling with the girlfriend before he knew my best friend. He was quite private and did not post anything on facebook.
Subsequently I got to know they were officially together and he mentioned the name and stuff. I thought the name was familiar and I went to CSI. By the time know, they were together for months or close to a year.
I thought super hard if I should tell him, which I didn’t in the end. I remember like we jokingly discussed last time like “are you okay to date someone I dated or had a fling before?” I remember he said he won’t la and show disgusted face etc.
In the end I made the decision to cut contact with all of them. I believe is best I keep it a secret since they were already together for like few years. Hoping to keep our friendship and his happiness.
Although until today I wonder if I were to tell him about this, could we still be friends and hangout together…
Just wanna get this off my chest!

- Is there any use by telling him your secret. End story is all going to be so uncomfortable and unpleasant. Better zip zip your voice..
- What’s the point of telling the poor guy you used to up his gf? Are you trying to assert male dominance over him and show him you are the leader of the pack or what? Flings are meant to be forgotten. Stick to your bro code and let the past remain what it is.
- Relationships happen and break-ups happen too. It’s the norm of the world. People fall in love when there’s an assumption of minds’ connection, and break up when the assumption was found wrong.
And your friend, he’s a child too, as he showed disgust when he was asked if he’s ok to date someone who had a past with his friend. I’m not sure he’d grown up by now.
I feel pity for the girl. She seems to be always attracting children into her life, not matured men.
