A jobless man in Malaysia who had only RM10 (or SGD $3.07)in his bank account, was too broke to afford to eat, when a kind man decided to buy him a meal.
Malaysian TikToker Abdul Haris Harahap (@hariskacho) posted a video on 23 January showing him buying the jobless man a meal at the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur food court.
Abdul was seen in the video buying food and queueing up to make payment, when the man asked him if he could treat him to a meal, saying that he just got fired.
The TikToker had initially thought the man was a beggar and declined, but he later thought about the incident and realised that the man had asked for a meal and not money, meaning that the man was really starving.
He then ran after the man and invited him to eat with him at the food court, where he learned that the man had lost his job and his boss refused to pay him his salary.
The man ended up being unable to pay his rent and had to leave his home with only RM10 in his bank account, as he considered turning to loan sharks.
Abdul gave the man some money to help him out and told him not to give up after being touched by his story, and drew massive praise from netizens, along with more than a million views on his video.
