Liverpool fans in Singapore can expect to see fan favourites such as Mohamed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk and Jordan Henderson in action at the Singapore National Stadium.

The Liverpool team was previously in Singapore last year for the Standard Chartered Singapore Trophy where they beat Crystal Palace 2-0, with goals from Jordan Henderson and Mohamed Salah claiming a victory and lifting the pre-season trophy.

More than 50,000 fans attended the match, with thousands also turning up in droves to watch their training sessions despite the then-pandemic restrictions at the time.

According to The Straits Times, Liverpool was rumoured to be touring Las Vegas in the United States originally but is now coming back to Singapore instead.

Among the other teams rumoured to join Liverpool in Singapore are their fellow English Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur, German champions Bayern Munich and Jose Mourinho’s Roma.

Tottenham, the laughing stock of European football, announced their pre-season tour in Perth against Premier League side West Ham on 18 July, and are looking to add two more stops in Asia as well, with Singapore being rumoured to be one of the countries.

Bayern Munich toured the US last year, but they have an office based in Thailand and could possibly visit either Singapore or Japan for their pre-season.

Football Insider confirmed the team’s pre-season in Singapore, which is their only destination for their Asian tour this year.

However, it is not yet revealed who they will be playing though, and the club has yet to make any official announcements about their Singapore visit yet.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp previously mentioned that he would prefer to visit Asia in the third week of their pre-season because he wants to work of his team’s fitness in the first week closer to home, before heading overseas in the third week.
