A video emerged online showing a man acting aggressively towards a female stranger on board a bus, and clenching his fists appearing to want to punch her.
The incident happened on 24 September at about 7.50pm, on board the upper deck of a double decker bus 14 heading towards Bedok.
A woman was initially seated in front of the man, but she later alighted and another female passenger took over her seat in front of him.
The man then allegedly shouted “WTF” before acting aggressively behind her for about 15 to 20 minutes, according to Wake Up Singapore.
He allegedly spewed vulgarities at her, kicked her seat and hit his bag loudly – with WakeUpSG reporting that the man’s alleged kicks were for forceful that the woman jerked in her seat.
WakeUpSG also said that the man was allegedly cracking his knuckles aggressively towards the woman.
The netizen who took the video of the incident, said that the man had apparently allegedly threatened to punch the woman when she turned around to look at him.
She (the netizen) then went down to the lower deck to inform the bus captain of the man’s behavior on the upper deck, and the bus captain then stopped the bus opposite the Holy Family Church before heading up to see what was going on.
The man then told the bus captain that he was “just stretching”, to which another commuter then said that the man had been aggressive and should be kicked out of the bus.
The bus captain then told the man to behave himself if he wants to remain on the bus, to which the commuter then showed the bus captain a video of the incident that they took.
Other commuters also supported their call for the man to be kicked out of the bus, and he was eventually removed by the bus captain.
One of the commuters then sent a copy of the video to the victim, who said that she was going to make a police report.
