MAN ARRESTED AFTER HOUSEBREAKING INTO A SHOP @ AMK

A 33-year-old man has been detained for his alleged participation in housebreaking and stealing investigation.

On January 12, 2022, at around 10.10 a.m., the Police were notified of a case of housebreaking at a store near the Ang Mo Kio MRT station. A total of $400 in cash is said to have been taken from the premises.

Officers from the Ang Mo Kio Police Division discovered the man’s identity via subsequent investigations and detained him on January 18, 2022.

Penalties:

On January 20, 2022, the guy will be prosecuted in court for housebreaking and stealing under Section 451 of the Penal Code 1871. The offence is punishable by up to ten years in jail and a fine.
