MAN DIED OF SUICIDE & WOMAN ARRESTED FOR THREATENING TO JUMP AT TOA PAYOH

There were 2 cases of suicide in the time span of 4 minutes in Toa Payoh as one man fell to his death and a woman was arrested for threatening to jump of a HDB building.

The incident happened at 6.43am this morning (Sep 30) at Block 81A Toa Payoh Lorong 4.

It is understood that a girl in her 20s somehow jumped off the building on the outer edge of the corridor on the 6th floor.

When questioned, the police stated that a 24-year-old girl was arrested under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) Act and sent to the hospital for treatment.

It was confirmed that the 58-year-old man was declared dead by the medical staff, and the police are investigating unnatural death.
