53-year-old Huang Zeliang was charged after he was caught by the Police during an operation against illegal gambling.

The gambling den was located along Geylang at a 3 storey building.
When Police arrived at the location the defendant and 27 others were found, the raid happened during the Phase 2 period last year which only allows a maximum of 5 people to gather.
ZaoBao revealed that Huang was initially a gambler at the location and got himself into debt and he was told to return the money to the ‘casino’ by running the gambling dens.
Huang claimed that the person who instructed him to run the place eventually went “MIA” and he continued running the place and kept all the earnings like a boss.
