Admin, please please post this as I really need some clarity and advice on my issue.
Recently, my girlfriend’s company had a Secret Santa where the minimum spend was $40. Today was the day where they got to exchange presents and it happens so that my girlfriend’s Santa was a high-ranking manager.
From what my girlfriend has said to me before regarding the manager’s salary, it should be ranging from 8-9k. Furthermore, their company did well this quarter so they did receive much more in bonuses as compared to the norm.
So coming to the point, the manager had bought for my girlfriend a $170 handbag that she has been wanting for awhile. However, me being a student and also not having enough money for myself, I only was able to buy for her presents (a collection of mini presents) that totalled up to $70.
I am feeling slightly curious as to how this manager is so willing to spend $100++ above the required spending for my girlfriend. There is no way that I suspect my girlfriend of adultery at all but I just feel uneasy and I guess emasculated?
Even when my girlfriend’s family and I were having dinner together, my girlfriend only mentioned the gift that she got during Secret Santa to her parents but did not mention what I had bought for her. I am trying not to feel weird about this but my
mind is just running in circles. Someone please help to put this in perspective for me.
