A man shared his story of how he managed to bump into a woman who took his first time when he visited Geylang in his younger years.
To some people, the first time is important but in this day and age, it’s a bit overrated.
Here is the story:
I cannot believe my eyes, earlier today I was at Geylang as my colleague insisted on going there for some beef kway teow.
It’s been 20 years since I came to Geylang as I do not have any business here and often eat near my home on the Westside.
While we were eating, a familiar woman came and sat at the table next to us. Memories start to flow back and I could not believe my eyes.
When I was still a student, my friend brought me to Geylang to drink and I ended up following them to a “chicken house” and I lost my first to the “chicken”.
Time has not been forgiving for her and she looks like the auntie that sells Bar Chor Mee near my house.
I smiled at her and she smiled back, I then asked if she remember me. Obviously, she does not, there must be tons of customers like me.
But to my surprise, she said “Did I give you a red packet before”. I replied: “Yes!”. She laugh and asked how long has it been since I visited her.
I told her “20 years”, she was surprised as I was still able to remember her.
She said that she is no longer working in that “profession” as her age is no longer suitable, she is working as an admin at an office nearby.
Seems like you will never know who does what, as she looks like a regular office lady now.
