
Two owners of the following spas, Palace Spa along River Valley Road and W Wellness Spa at 100 Turf Club Road were charged in court on Tuesday (21 Sep).
They were handed charges because they failed to ensure that their masseuses did not provide sexual services to customers.
Owner of W Wellness Spa, Jimmy Chew Choon Kwok, aged 37, was handed two charges under the Massage Establishments Act because three of his female employees were caught at W Wellness spa offering services of different kind in April and August 2021.
Two of the employees allegedly provided masturbation services for a $50 extra charge while another provided $55 for masturbation as well as $50 for french kissing services.
Owner of Palace Spa, Koh Chi Yuan, aged 48 was given one charge for failing to ensure that his employee did not provide these services at Palace Spa
The female employee allegedly offered a “glass service” naked massage for $100, oral sex for $150, sexual intercourse for $200 and masturbation for $50.
Both Chew and Koh are set to plead guilty to their charges in October and November respectively.
For every charge they face for failing to ensure their employees did not provide sexual services at the massage parlours, they could be fined S$5,000 for the first offence and if they are repeated offenders, they face two years jail term, a fine up to S$10,000 or both.
