MOH: VACCINATION FOR 5 TO 11 Y.O CHILDREN TO START THIS MONTH

The Ministry of Health (MOH) said that the vaccinations for children between the ages of 5 to 11 will start this month according to schedule, with the first shipment of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine that is expected to arrive tomorrow (22 December).

MOH said that the vaccine that is being shipped from Europe has met quality, safety, and efficacy standard and is approved by the HSA for use for children.

MOH said that the shipment will enable them to start vaccinations for children aged between 5 to 11 by end-December.

MOH is also working with the Education Ministry and Early childhood Development Agency (ECDA) on the rollout of the vaccination for the children.
