A bus passenger in Malaysia has drawn criticism online after he was allegedly caught wiping his hands and mouth on a bus curtain after finishing a packet of nasi briyani during a long-distance journey.
The incident was recorded by another passenger and later shared on social media, where it quickly attracted thousands of reactions and comments.
Passenger Allegedly Ignored Driver’s Instructions
According to the individual who uploaded the video, the incident took place on a coach travelling from Teluk Intan to Seremban on Jun. 7 at around noon.
The witness claimed that the passenger had boarded the bus carrying a packet of nasi briyani despite being told by the driver that food was not allowed onboard.
However, the man allegedly proceeded to consume the meal during the journey.
The witness further alleged that the passenger’s actions did not stop there.

After finishing his meal, the passenger was reportedly seen using the bus curtain to wipe his hands and mouth.
A video circulating online appears to show the man leaning towards the curtain beside his seat before rubbing his face against it.
The witness expressed shock at what he saw, saying the behaviour was unhygienic and inconsiderate towards other passengers.
Photos shared online also appeared to show food remnants and drink spills around the passenger’s seating area.
According to the witness, flavoured drinks had allegedly been spilled onto the seat, leaving a mess behind for cleaning staff to deal with after the journey.
