According to Thai media reports, the man, 43, and his 29-year-old wife had checked into the hotel just a day before the incident occurred.

Authorities reviewing security camera footage reportedly discovered that the couple left their room at around 2:45am before heading towards the upper levels of the hotel. They were seen retrieving a chair from one floor and moving towards a higher level of the building.

Investigators said the pair later fell from the hotel and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Security Footage Captures Final Moments

Local reports stated that surveillance footage showed the couple spending several moments together before the fall.

Emergency responders and police officers were subsequently called to the hotel, where both individuals were found on a lower level of the property.

A handwritten note was later recovered from their room. The note reportedly contained messages directed at family members, including expressions of love and apologies.

The contents of the note suggested that the pair had been struggling with significant personal difficulties and felt emotionally exhausted despite efforts to overcome their situation.

Family Members Cite Mounting Financial Pressure

During preliminary investigations, relatives reportedly informed authorities that the couple had been facing substantial financial challenges in recent months.

Police said there were no immediate signs of foul play or evidence suggesting the involvement of a third party.

Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the couple’s financial situation and events leading up to their deaths.

The tragedy has once again highlighted the emotional toll that severe financial stress can place on individuals and families. Experts frequently note that people facing overwhelming debt or personal crises should seek assistance from family members, friends, counsellors or professional support services as early as possible.

Authorities in Thailand continue to investigate the case to establish the full circumstances surrounding the deaths.

If you or someone you know is experiencing emotional distress, support is available through professional mental health services and crisis hotlines.
