1 year into the service , & previously my shifts were god-tier, 7 in 7 out, which meant I could spend 1 entire day sleeping/ lazing around before I use my remaining 6 days to do things I need to do.
Now with my 4 in 2 out schedule. Things have been really tough , my bookout has been reduced to 2 days, and it staggers. (E.g If my bookout this week if Saturday, Sunday, my next one would be Fri & Saturday).
I still tend to spend 1 day napping I’m left with 1 day to do things I really want. Recently had to cancel plans with a friend cos I was too tired to go out..
I really want to Maximise & have a life outside of ns commitments but it seems like a challenge.
I’m posted to a unit where my it’s very intense & adhoc, which means if there is ops that suddenly occur in the middle of night , it needs to be addressed asap.
I’m in a unit where it’s daily ops so no jungle & activities like bmt , just policing in incarceration facility.
So I’m wondering for my stay in combat guys how do you make the best of your 2 days out ? It seems my plans have to stop until I ord in ~365 days

Last 2 nights of your stay in sleep more than the 7hrs of uninterrupted rest. Used to have the same problem as you but i legit nap 2 days away.
After i started sleeping more in camp when nearing book out i feel my time out of camp was not so shag
