RSAF F-16 FIGHTER JET MALFUNCTIONED & MADE EMERGENCY LANDING @ CHANGI AIRPORT

At approximately 1210hrs on November 14, 2023, an RSAF F-16 aircraft encountered a malfunction during a routine mission but executed a safe landing at Singapore Changi Airport. The aircraft experienced a deflated tire upon touchdown.

No personnel, including the pilot, sustained any injuries during the incident. The prompt and efficient response of the RSAF personnel ensured the safe handling of the situation.

Following the emergency landing, the affected F-16 was towed off the runway to a designated area for further inspection and necessary repairs. The runway, which was temporarily closed for safety reasons, has now been declared operational after thorough checks and clearance procedures.

The Republic of Singapore Air Force is actively investigating the cause of the malfunction to prevent similar incidents in the future.

At approximately 1210hrs on 14 Nov 23, an RSAF F-16 aircraft experienced a malfunction and landed safely at Singapore Changi Airport. It had a deflated tyre upon landing. No personnel were injured. The aircraft has been towed off the runway. The runway has been declared operational.
