She then tweeted about this experience shortly after midnight and complained that she was forced to sleep on the floor inside Changi Airport with her partner and also her toddler.

She also said that they were prohibited from leaving the airport’s premises due to the ongoing pandemic.

Claims Scoot & SIA did not give her alternatives

Her tweets mentioned that alternatives were not provided by Scoot or even its parent company, Singapore Airlines, which left them with no choice but to ‘sleep on the floor’.

She alleges that she was supposed to do so until the rescheduled flight which will take off on Thursday

SIA responded

SIA after noticing her tweets responded to her apologising and explaining that airport hotels were all booked at that point of time and they also noted that Scoot had contacted them to let her family and herself know that a hotel room was available for them.

SIA had also sincerely apologised for causing them the inconvenience.

Finally provided with room

Ms Caselli then mentioned that she was finally given a room in the airport hotel on Tuesday after being stranded for almost 17 hours.

Scoot responded

Scoot when asked by the media said that the flight to Athens-Berlin from Singapore on TR722 and the flight to Athens-Singapore from Berlin TR723 which was originally supposed to take off on 25 January 2022 had been cancelled due to the snowstorm situation in Athens.

Those that are affected will be rescheduled on the next available flight and Scoot had also contacted all customers to provide them with help.
