So I was selling my old iPhones on Carousell. All peachy perfect when I sold my first one. No issues, no fuss, phone is in great condition as I stated in listing. Awesome transaction.
Kena lowballed by a lady and scolded by her because she don’t know how to charge the phone
Then here comes this lady. Let’s call her Lady K. So Lady K lowballed me for my phone, then proceeded to buy the phone. Upon purchase, she went home.
Little did I know, Lady K spammed texted me a s-t load of messages saying how I cheated her money etc because she couldn’t charge the phone.
I don’t have a problem with people bringing up their issues with products. What triggers me is the screaming texts from this individual and outright saying “I don’t want to accuse you of cheating but” and “SO NOW WHAT? U CHEATING ME?!” Lady K refused to admit that she accused me of cheating when I did not, and is just disrespectful.
When trying to reason with her she could not accept my explanations or even listen to what I have to say.
Is this common in Carousell? Is this the common way of dealing with problems? Like lady, stop screaming please. Have a little more respect.
Don’t expect others to speak nicely and treat you with respect when you don’t.
Here are what netizens think
- Some ppl r weird on Carousell. One time I sold a tie, and the guy lost it on the way home. Somehow that’s my fault . And he didn’t understand why I don’t have another one …. Like lol bro, I’m not a shop ….
- Yes, it’s common. Just block her and move on. Literally there are a lot of crazy ass people you can encounter on carousell or other online platforms where you can buy/sell stuff. People can sometimes act very irrational/crazy when they want something cheap.
- Some people are just entitled pricks. Had the same with someone on Shopee claiming she was being cheated because she’s a tech idi-t who couldn’t figure out the payment process. Since you’ve completed the transaction I’d say just report and block.
