Shortly after Malaysia Prime Minister Muhyiddin announces lockdown on the country, several videos and photos of Singaporeans crowding in supermarkets have been circulating on social media.
A video was shot by netizens of people crowding at a Sheng Siong in the middle of the night.
When only a single group of people do it, its ‘xia suay’ but when people around the world do it, it seems to be a norm.

Chan Chun Sing Post on M’sia Lockdown
Chan Chun Sing said on Facebook that
“The Government has been actively working with essential firms such as NTUC Fairprice, Sheng Siong and Dairy Farm International to increase our stock of food and essential supplies over the last two months. This means that we are not in danger of running out of food or other supplies brought in by our retailers. “
